Cuteness overload. My cats are brother and sister, and I've had them since they were 2 months old (turning 6 in July). I so love that they're siblings and have each other - notice a huge difference in their connection versus my parents cats who were adopted separately.

The last time I went to Catholic mass was when the priest told us, word for word, to "Pray with our checkbooks." This was also after he bitched for 15 minutes saying we weren't giving enough money; the church needed some repairs, but the priest wanted to just tear it down and build a new one. Apparently it wasn't enough.

Oh! Me too! Both of mine are inverted. I'm 27 and had NO idea my nipples were different until after seeing toooons of boobies spring break while in college and I went hmmm something looks different.

Sometimes in a rare occasion righty comes out to play, but that's it.

I visited Seattle in May last year, and the day I flew in it was extremely sunny and 70 degrees. Just about everyone from that area was telling me how incredibly lucky I was to have that weather for my first time there.

Oooh yes. Bawled her eyes out. And the same thing happened when my younger brother told her he's also an atheist about a month ago (we're the only atheists in a large Christian family). She's pretty open minded and I understand her reaction - she believes her faith is the only way to be saved and she wants nothing bad to happen to her kids. I just try to take that as her being a loving parent and keep my mouth shut out of respect, but do worry about the day I can't do it anymore.

I'm guessing your mom is religious? That's pretty awesome. I told my mom years ago that I'm an atheist and after the tears it's now back to denial - I'm engaged to a Christian and will go to church with him and his family sometimes, so she assumes I'm Christian now. Don't have the heart to break it to her again, but would love to have what you and your mom have.

I'm curious - how did you know it was her last day? Or really for anyone who just saved an animal when they were that close. A few years back I did a photo assignment at a kill shelter, and they kept it pretty quiet on that matter.

When I'm ready to get a dog, a part of me wants to go in asking if there are any dogs that were in your dog's situation so I can save them, but man, if they tell me like 10 of them are how do I pick just one??
