I love the shot where Bruce first transforms. He falls onto an area labeled -"WARNING: Contents Under Pressure."

God what I wouldn't give to see a video of them questioning the other people in the gym.

"You staring at that fellow?" "The weirdo that runs with weights over his head? Yeah, you have to stare at him or he'll hit you with his weights."

"So, he's your hero, that young man?" ".....who?"

I've been at my aerial silks for three months now. This week I climbed to the top of the silks a few times (about a 30' ceiling), and did this - http://imgur.com/kSPiu,OFkBd and this http://imgur.com/kSPiu,OFkBd#1

Pretty cool!

There are families of cute turtles that live in the pond outside of my office building. My coworkers and I have started taking 'turtle breaks' to go see the baby turtles and get some sunshine. We're unabashed about this, because there's no way it's more of a time waster than smoke breaks.

When I had my wisdom teeth out when i was 16, they gave me Vicodin. I learned I was allergic to Vicodin when I couldn't stop throwing up the three things I'd managed to consume that day - garlic mashed potatoes, Hawaiian Punch, and a mocha Frappucino. None of them, ever again. Blegh.

I started an aerial silks class! Any other... aerialists? by lexabearin xxfitness

[–]housestarktech 2 points3 points ago

I do I do! I've been doing silks and pole for about 3 months now. I couldn't even stand on the silk when I started, now I can climb, foot lock, invert, and pull myself into a handstand from one of those hanging leg raises you mentioned! I'm not the strongest ever but it is so motivational, silks has transformed my life! I eat better and work out more so I can be strong and skilled at silks and pole.

Newbie at silks...saying hi! by housestarktechin Aerials

[–]housestarktech[S] 1 point2 points ago

Thanks for replying! It's been 2 months and now I can climb, foot lock, do the splits in a double foot lock, and pull myself into a back tuck with my arms! (and sort of sometimes do a handstand or angel split from wrist locks, lol)

I'm so glad this went through cause now I can compare to where I was! I still can't do a pullup, but I'm getting closer!

Friend of mine used to suck on straight pins like toothpicks. Inhaled one into his lung one day. A straight pin. I think they vacuumed it out at the ER, he doesn't do that anymore.

The head of my gym told me I look like Ashly Burch from Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin'? I list this as weird because I think most girls would be really offended and upset by this because she's an androgynous spaz, but as I am sort of an androgynous spaz myself, I thought it was pretty awesome.

Who or what do you think is the biggest scam/con in the fitness industry? by beastmode_sdin Fitness

[–]housestarktech 0 points1 point ago

Seriously. The staff at the local parkour/acrobatics/gymnastics gym that teach classes and run around all day have been known to crush a Mickey D's burger, or keep a pack of Oreos at the front desk for anyone who needs a quick energy boost.

I eat a lot of fiber (veggies, fruit) and a lot of protein, and every morning I mix my vanilla whey protein with coffee or chai to drink it. Honestly since I began lifting and eating well, I've never had such regular and healthy pewps in my life. I usually have one good one a day, maybe a second.

Do any of the women in Fittit think weight training makes them bulky? by Staticbirdin Fitness

[–]housestarktech 23 points24 points ago

Maybe not in Fittit, but out in the world we hear this shit every day. Dudes joke I'm gonna crush their nuts (spoiler: I will) girls titter about how 'thats cool for you but I don't want to get bigger!' And my mom freaks out about me 'hurting myself ' when I finally work up to 45lb lifts. If y'all can post about how baller you are for not doing curls in the squat rack and knowing Smith machines are bad, frigging recognize that female lifters go through some shit and be encouraging and cool.

How important is lifting? by amberleyannein xxfitness

[–]housestarktech 3 points4 points ago

I do pole dance, aerial silks, yoga, Pilates, but I MAKE SURE I get into the gym two days a week to lift heavy with the barbells -- just because I love it. Nothing makes me feel like such a badass. It's made everything else I do better. And it's turned my legs into sexy muscle machines! :D

What's the most impressive thing you have seen someone do in the gym? by Ricamusin Fitness

[–]housestarktech 3 points4 points ago

I go to gyms that do parkour, aerial acrobatics, and pole dancing, so I see some crazy shit. Today I saw a woman hang tensed by one knee on a pole . The pole itself was spinning super fast. She made it look easy. One of my silks classmates hung off the silks by the back of her neck.

People at the parkour gym are just insane. Constant backflips, vaults, muscle ups, climbing up walls, like it's nothing. Keeps me motivated!

What do xxfitness ladies wear to the gym? by rocketmoosein xxfitness

[–]housestarktech 19 points20 points ago

To the weight room: I have a pair of enormous men's black football player sweats. I wear them with tanktops and my beat-to-hell weightlifting shoes. Those sweatpants are like my armor for squats - least sexy ass pants ever. To silks: A leotard under leggings. Makes me feel pretty exposed, but it keeps the backs of my legs covered, and having my hip chub covered up makes inverting WAY easier. XD

Today I treated myself - for my pole dance class I got a pair of shiny black booty shorts (shorts really do make the class easier, and I wasn't feeling sexy in the Target runner's shorts I'd been wearing) and a really sexy, cute yoga tanktop made from natural fabrics with blue lotuses on it.

I recommend looking at Marshall's, Ross, TJ Maxx, etc. You can find a lot of high-end (Nike, Adidas, Puma, etc) workout gear for cheap. The tanktop I bought was some eco friendly yoga brand that sells for like $60 a top - this one was $18. :D

Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid question thread by eric_twingein Fitness

[–]housestarktech 0 points1 point ago

I read in another thread, tall women talking about how bodyweight exercises are difficult for them. I'm 5'10" and definitely a little bottom heavy, and have never had much upper body strength, am getting stronger, but push-ups are hard and pull-ups impossible. Is this just a strength thing, or is there some actual proof or reasoning behind tall women having a hard time with bodyweight exercises. Is it just a less strength + longer body = haaarddd thing?
