Did you know John Kennedy Toole committed suicide before that book was published? His mother found the manuscript in a trunk and it was rejected by over a dozen publishers before finally being accepted. It's heartbreaking to think of such a brilliant mind taking his own life, only to be rewarding with the first posthumous Pulitzer. ACOD is in my top 3 favorite books, ever, and always will be. Can't recommend it enough.

Hydrogen peroxide in the ears at the first sign of oncoming cold or flu. Just lay down and pour a half capful in. Repeat every couple hours. I haven't gotten sick in 2 years thanks to this trick.
