I had been hearing about the magic of the IV for a long time, so I purposely drank way too much and didn't drink my water or take my ibuprofen before bed. I was on the casino floor at 5am slamming drinks I knew I didn't need, just so I could make a really good hangover to test the IV against. The rallying call for shots was "gotta test that IV!". I woke up with the worst hangover I'd had in years. I'm sure glad the IV worked, cuz it would have been a real shitty Sunday if it hadn't.

Yeah that totally makes sense. I suppose I mis-titled the pic. I wasn't thinking too much when I posted it, just happened across it while going through some pics and posted it on a whim. Curing the hangover was definitely what we were after.

Oh yeah I'm not disputing that IV vodka would get you good and fucked, and not dead like beer. My buddy's not here but IIRC you treat anti-freeze poisoning by giving them a bunch of alcohol to neutralize it. (Difficulty: I am too lazy to use Google right now)

My friend the doctor (who gave me the IV) said there was a house party at his university where two medical students got wasted and decided to have beer IVs. The bubbles killed them both. Supposedly this was about 20 years ago. And I have no idea if this is really true or not. They must have been either very shitty medical students, or very wasted. Probably both!

Yeah it's going pretty well, it's certainly paying the rent. Started out with the Nose Candy app as a joke just to learn the Android platform, then did Smoke A Bowl to support Prop 19. Prop 19 was the bill to legalize weed for everyone in California, I donated half the proceeds of the app to the campaign. Then Android got popular and all of a sudden there was a good chunk of money coming in.

Nope sorry! I don't want to go through all the trouble of porting it just to get rejected from the App Store. I've made iPhone apps before (some accepted, some rejected) and I REALLY don't miss dealing with Apple.

I suppose I could put it on Cydia, but I haven't looked into whether you can make money on that. If anyone knows please fill me in. :)

Yeah that would be awesome! Limitations in the Android Market prevent you from switch apps back and forth from free to not free. I'm working on a workaround though, should be ready in time for next 4/20. :) For this past one I added smoke rings that say "Happy 4/20". Now they show up every day at 4:20. Try it - just blow a bunch of smoke rings right at 4:20. :)

Yeah when I made the apps I wasn't considering that at all either. :) When I got the first email about it I was super pumped, I love it when apps take on a life of their own and are used for things the dev didn't even think of.

Like I said in another post (after you posted), I really wanted to have giveaway codes for redditors done before I submitted an ad, but stuff started piling up and it looked like it was gonna take forever to get around to implement them (too much other important stuff in the way), so I got impatient.

Why it's not free in general: so I can pay my rent. :) But I am considering making a free version, and charge people for in-app upgrades if they want them. More strains, different lighters, grinders, papers, pipes, bongs, glass blunts, cross joints...the list of ideas goes on for pages. :) It's just in the early planning stages right now though so it will be at least a few months even if it does happen.

Nope sorry, not at this time. I think WP7 would have to take off like crazy to make it worthwhile. :( Also, I haven't looked into their content policy, so I am not sure if they are down with the weed apps.
