I can't see why not. It should work on all devices of the same resolution and the i777 falls into that category.

Perhaps because you don't need a Quad core processor to run a launcher? This link plus the one I linked to will work on the majority of handsets out there and through Samsungs efforts it runs very well despite 'Lesser' specs.

Smart stay I believe it's called. It works by taking a picture with the FFC to detect a face so technically it shouldn't need anything more than that. OpenDesign is probably the best chance of something like this being implemented but at this point it's a waiting game.

Yeah the tether option is nice and all for browsing but as it cant assign the HTPC with its own IP address it falls down in other areas. Glad Airdroid worked to a certain extent though :)

You'll need to provide your device/kernel/rom information for a more informed response. From your information though it could be an incorrectly configured bootanimation. If the details in the .txt file are incorrectly configured for your resolution etc then it will simply not display.

You could tether it, however I'm unsure how windows sharing would operate over this sort of setup. Short of that, you could use Airdroid to transfer the files from any other computer. The problem of how to move these files to your HTPC is a toughie though. To move the files you'd need to have the device mounted but that could interfere with the initial Airdroid file exchange.

It's an ok device but is beginning to show its age. Something with a dual core should handle 99% of whatever is thrown at it (Bar specific tegrazone games).

I've only seen this occur with SGS2 devices that have a usb port problem. Firstly try giving it a gentle clean/blow to see if that resolves the issue. For me personally it was caused by water damage (Still no idea how) and I needed to send it back to Samsung to have it replaced. You may also get prompts about charging when it isn't and unnecessary battery drain as a result of this.

I've never played any of the Diablo series but I just wanted to applaud a great looking app. I think Google really made an excellent move with a guide for app design and an app like yours really proves just how well it can be implemented. Nice work and good luck!

I've got a SGS2 and still have Nexus envy. Don't get me wrong, the SGS2 is an excellent device and doesn't disappoint but the larger screen resolution and slick on screen buttons are very tempting. If you're a serious modder as well then the amount of custom ROMs and mods available are extensive for both but again the GNex trumps the SGS2 in this department. You won't be disappointed with either, it really just depends on your usage.

Built in LWP are usually stored in /system/app and can be removed via a root file explorer or something like Titanium Backup. Just for future reference :)

There are plenty of things I like about my SGS2 but the simplest is the clock application when running AOKP android. You can long press it and it will only show the date in ICS blue. It works great as a non blinding alarm/clock and looks great on the Amoled display.

Its not perfect but try using Mipony, its a downloader that you can simply paste all the links into (It will also automatically add any compatible links you've copied if its running) and leave it running. You may need to enter captcha characters but it certainly helps a crappy process.

I posted this article a few days ago regarding edge to edge displays. As for needing a bezel so that you don't have inadvertent touches, I really don't see how this is a problem with smartphones. I hold my device by the back/side and only ever touch the screen when I wish to. It's a different matter for tablets but that isn't what we're talking about here.
