you probably have no idea how it was and how it is to be caught in this cycle... my grandparents were into the whole idea of nationalism, cause they did not know better. my grandmother shaked the hand of hitler those days and she was so ashamed of it later on when she knew that it was wrong. she never admitted in doing so and never talked about it whatsoever. most of the people really did not know what was going on in the concentration camps that time.
