I genuinely wish I could like it. I want to feel like the story closed smoothly. I spent weeks of my life playing through this trilogy, and I've emotionally invested myself in Shepard and so many of the characters. I feel like I've lost a group of friends.

What about his story is suspect? There are a ridiculous variety of ways that hallucinations manifest in schizophrenics. Just recently there was a thread [re: redditor w/schizo wife] in which people discuss this variety. I've linked to where the thread gets interesting, but the entire thing is worth reading.

What it comes down to is that the popular conception of schizophrenia is just plain wrong.
