Edit: Also: "Doherty said when Angelini filed the harassment complaint April, police Chief Michael Kass told him, 'What do you expect when you keep writing letters to the editor?'

"The police surveillance video Doherty received of Angelini talking with Kass has a 30-second gap the department attributed to an equipment malfunction, but Doherty said contained Kass’ comment about the letters."

Looks like a Belstaff jacket - maybe the New Panther? Or it could be last season's. Take a look through their current selection.

I'll read up on it this evening. Thanks for the tip.

Edit: Okay, based on my research, I picked up some organic copper soap spray to kill the bacteria, and am going to put down an organic mulch of some kind (probably bark chips) to reduce the soil splashback. Thanks again!

Ron Paul fills Hannity with a Dose of Shut-Up Juice. by NoACinNolain politics

Exactly. With every candidate, there will be issues with which you agree and disagree. It is a matter of assigning degrees of importance to particular issues, and going from there.

If your important issues include ending the wars, stopping the outrageous spending, and ending the corrupting influence of corporate campaign donations, then Paul is your man.

The US budget is like a 1st grader playing Oregon Trail. Spend all the money on ammunition so you can shoot at stuff, then wonder why your wagon is falling apart and everyone is dying of dysentery by Malhavoc430in politics

Yes, the numbers are changing as negotiations progress.

I posted the initial numbers (that is, when they were furthest apart (specifically the Obama-proposed budget and the budget approved by the House of Reps)) in effort to show that the disparity between the Dem and Repub positions is negligible. The important concept is that they are agreed in that they want to spend far more then they have.

Projected 2011 Federal Revenue (CBO):... 2.23 T$

Dem Proposed Spending (Obama):........... 3.83 T$

Rep Proposed Spending (Boehner/House): 3.77 T$

So here is the big difference between Dems and Repubs:

Democrats want to spend 72% more than revenue. Republicans want to spend 69% more than revenue.

Chris Matthews Hammers Tea Party Leader Over Bachmann's Slavery Error... by [deleted]in politics

This is exactly why the cable pundits are not worth watching. Whether it's Hannity or Olbermann or O'Reilly or Matthews, the tactic is the same: don't let the guy who disagrees with you talk for more than five seconds without talking over him.

For whatever it's worth, Bachmann certainly misspoke, she meant to reference John Adam's role in writing the 1780 Massachusetts State Constitution which resulted in the banning of slavery throughout the state. Although his son, John Quincy Adams, was a life-long opponent of slavery as well.

South Korea says it will keep a giant Christmas tree near the border with North Korea lit until January 8, amid threats from North Korea. This is getting a little ridiculous. by wassworthin worldnews

[–]fx6893 0 points1 point ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Notice how there is no credit for the statement: "The communist North sees the tree topped with a glowing cross as a provocative propaganda symbol." Was it something a communist leader said? Or an official published statement? No, it's just some shit that the South Koreans made up.

Yeah, the re-ordering is what happened to me. Imagine you have a balance of 15$. Let's say you first use your debit card for a 10$ purchase, then later charge another 20$. The bank will re-do your paperwork to show the larger purchase first, resulting in two 37$ overdraft charges. My bank actually did this for two purchases on different days.

So what kind of case do I have? I don't know. But I don't think the banks want to have to explain these tactics to judges (in fact, I think this may be illegal due to the new bank laws).
