Nice heavy banger. But listen to the original mix (available on Beatport etc...), i personally like that one way more.

what tracks/albums have defined/redefined the genre for you? by muntstickin Techno

Listen to stuff from: Perc Trax, Vault Series, CLR (especially Tommy Four Sevens Album) and forget those mainstreamish compilations. If you want to find the gems, you'll have to dig.

My beautiful and kinda hipsterish commuting bike i sadly have to sell soon. by flartin bicycling

[–]flart[S] 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, and i ride the gear i need uphill, on the remaining 8km, which are flat. Nope.

It's a perfect bike if you live in the city, but not for the more hillier countryside around here. You want some gears for that.

Yup, austria. It's a Marin Ignacio, if you want to search for one yourself.

My knees are fucked up enough from two years of being a cycle messenger. Turns out, muscles can hurt your knees pretty bad if they aren't strechted properly.

Nope, i'll use the right tool, which is in this case my roadbike.

There are no "hills", it's 10km of mostly uphill. The kind of uphill i use to train for my yearly ride up the Grossglockner ;-)

Riding should be fun, no torture. Also, i don't want to kill my knees.

I'm moving and my new commute has at least 30 minutes of steep climbing in it on the way home. That's nothing i want to do with a semi-singlespeeder (it has in fact two gears), i'll use my roadbike for that.

Just dropped my bike off at the shop, the worker there looked at me with a grave expression. "This is pretty serious, this one might set you back a little." by scaevolain bicycling

Two?

Not even one full tank here in austria at the moment. Hooray for cycling :-)

Machine with Traktor by SgtLobsterin DJs

[–]flart 2 points3 points ago

They work perfectly together. Just sync Maschine to Traktors master clock and everything is perfectly in line. The only thing that needs some adjustment sometimes is the midi offset. There are lots of tutorials in the web for that, just search for it :-)

What have been the biggest developments in techno over the past decade? by benkbenkbenkin Techno

[–]flart 12 points13 points ago

BPM have gone down to ~128-130, audio quality has gone up. Also, more pounding bass.

Techno is back in the underground nowadays, which is a good thing for the quality of productions.

At least in my perception.
