If women are supposed to have the same rights as men, why, when I turn eighteen this September, am I being forced to sign up for the draft, however no woman will ever have to do this?

Not every 18 year old female has a child. The few 18 year old females I do know with children usually have so many issues that they'd get out of a draft anyway.

I had a similar situation not too long ago, maybe 5-6 full moons ago... tops. Anyway, so it be told, I went to the local stable and stole the purest white horse I could find. I saddled it, mounted it, combed it's hair, added a few accessories (bows, flowers, etc) and galloped in search of a woman of the night. From romance novels, I've learned that these women prefer to hang out near redlights, so I made my way towards the Super Walmart off of I-94 near Beloit. There is at least 6 redlights within a 4 block radius and surely there would be a woman of the night there.

After a few discouraging looks from people passing me on the highway, I made it to the red light district. Alas, no woman could be found near the lights. It was time to call on a backup plan. I called the cave troll of my class, you know the girl that everyone throws writing utensils at when the teacher isn't looking, then denies all blame when things get escalated after she gets hit in the eye? Yeah, that girl. I asked her if she'd like to spend a night with me to prove we are both sexual beings and she reluctantly agreed.

I again mounted my steed and galloped on my merry way to her place of dwelling. I rang the doorbell and her father greeted me and asked that she be home by 1PM. I laughed this off as any non-gay guy would do, and told him my plans for sexual deviance for the night. He threatened to call the police and again, alas, I mounted my steed empty handed.

I guess I never did quite prove to my parent's that I wasn't gay, but my mom thought I did a pretty great job accessorizing the horse. I now have a part time job grooming horses, and life couldn't be better.

TL;DR: Stole a horse and tried to find a hooker to bang in front of my parents on top of the horse, couldn't find one. Tried to fuck a cave troll, her dad shot me down. Now I groom horses.

I own a consultancy that handles website/app development & design and all of the people who work for me are on a freelance basis. I interviewed a man (developer) over skype who right away admitted that he lives in a short school bus which he parks in a large power plant parking lot in California to steal WIFI. He then went on to talk about how he doesn't like to go in major US cities and he isn't a US citizen. Then he finished that up with "when do I start working?".

I at first thought I'd been pranked, but when I checked out his blog I realized he was telling the truth.

Thanks for sharing your story - there are a lot of similarties with mine! I really wasn't sure of her age, I pinned her at 29 at first, then as she told me more stories I began to think 30-32. Eventually she told me.

I, too am very mature for my age (all my friends are 26+) and I've just had so much responsibility in my life that I was forced to grow up quick.

My parents were hesitant at first, but they can see how much better I am now in regards to all aspects of my life with an older woman. I needed someone who was at my level, so to speak.

It's odd, even at age 31, she sometimes acts really immature. When she had her 23 year old alcoholic cousin in town, it was like I was dealing with an entirely different girl. I was literally floored.

I don't want to freak her out since it's only been two months, but so far she has been really amazing. The only setback we had was when her unemployed, deadbeat alcoholic cousin came to visit last Saturday... he caused some issues.

Was it weird at first? She was shocked when she found out my age. I seem very mature for my age because of all the responsibilities I have because of my companies - she put me at 27 when she met me (even though I have a baby face).

True, what if things work out with the move? My two companies are both online so there is nothing keeping me from visiting her all the time or perhaps moving with her down the road if things went well. Right now all my employees are spread across the country (design / development).

I have talked to her about it and she said that she is the happiest she's ever been when around me because I can always make her laugh and we can talk on end. Even on the nights we aren't together, she'll call me and talk to me for 2 hours on the phone.

Self employed with two companies. I work from wherever I want to be. Right now I'm vacationing in NYC (and went at the perfect time, the weather is in the 70's). One company is a advertising/publisher network for websites, an the other is a consultancy firm that does website development/design, seo, and marketing/branding.

My work comes in waves, like another guy said. I mainly hand off projects to the heads of the three departments and they take it from there.
