On Christmas Eve my family and I went over to visit my uncle, let's call hime Uncle Dave, he was having a party in his basement. Uncle Dave has a daughter a year older than me, Stephanie. Steph and I got along alright, but we weren't friends or anything.

The guests consisted of my uncles and aunts on my dad's side including Uncle Dave, but the majority of them were just friends of Uncle Dave and their family. There were probably 90+ people at the party at any given time. It wasn't to my taste, most of the guests in the basement were 35+ married adults, the music wasn't my type, and I couldn't drink. With not much to do I decided I'd just go hang out upstairs in Steph's room, maybe watch some TV.

I walk in the room and see Steph, a couple of my other cousins Mary, Jessica Joe and Rob, as well as Steph's friends and some other people our age but what caught my eye were these three girls I'd never seen before, Daniella, Carly, and Diana. Soon after I walk in Steph gets called downstairs and she leaves us all in her room.

At this time I was extremely confident, I'd just gotten out of a relationship and had two FWB. Steph So I decide to make the most of this slow night and began gaming Diana. Everything is going great, I neg, kino, push and pull and I've got her hooked, I could see it in her smile and eyes. From our chat I find out Daniella and Carly are sisters and they are her cousins.

Daniella, Carly, and Diana all leave to the bathroom. So I walk over to my cousins who all give me props for my smooth game so far. None of us have ever seen these girls, so we assumed they were Steph's friends from school. They agree to help me out and distract Daniella and Carly while Diana and I find some place more private.

Joe and Rob invite the girls to dance and so they head down to the party. I tell Diana that I need a break from all this noise and that I was going to pick up a redbull and go hang out by the nearby lake for a bit, she agrees to join.

I park along the lake and we begin to talk for a bit, I say a bit because within 5 minutes I go in for the kiss and we begin making out. I felt like the man. It gets hot and heavy, two hormone raging teenagers alone in a car, now in the backseat. We continue making out, my phone begins vibrating and I ignore it. My shirt is off and so is her shirt. Both of our phones then go off again, Joe was calling me and Daniella was calling her. We ignored it, but again they called us.

Diana picked up, Daniella told her to get back asap, her parents were looking for her. Reluctantly we stop making out and head back. As we make our way to Steph's room Joe and Daniella stop us and take us to talk in private. They inform us that they find out they are related, Joe's dad and Daniellas's dad are cousins, which must mean that my dad and Diana's dad are cousins, meaning she and I are second cousins.

My heart dropped, and I could easily see the "oh god why" face all over Diana. Joe and Daniella realized what happened. The air was thick with disgust, confusion, disbelief. How could this have happened? How could no one have noticed? Why did I not ask her what her last name was?

An unspoken pact was made that day to never speak of that night.
