PETA is building their new west coast headquarters in my neighborhood. Any suggestions on how I can mess with them?

I like this link pointing out the difference between Animal Rights and Animal Welfare

I am with you awareness of what PETA is is far better than torturing animals and eating them just to make a point. I say that because some of these other answers will just make PETA stonger and fight harder, provoking a fight.

I support animal welfare, NOT animal rights. Sadly many people who support PETA have no idea what they are really supporting.

PETA does not view household pets as legitamate animals - since they are "man made" PETA wants them all destroyed and do not support pet ownership of any kind.

However there are some things they do that are good.. like anti-fur awareness.. I bet most people STILL dont know that pregnant Karakul ewes are KICKED until they abort so their lambs can be killed and used while their fur is its blackest and curlyest. (I know this because I have sheep and have been involved with the sheep industry.. I of course DO NOT do this to my sheep)

If you really want to mess with PETA, spread information to people about the difference between Animal Welfare and Animal Rights in this way people will support the SPCA etc.. who really care about pets and animals and hopefully will not support PETA

And what you are doing with the fat... isnt much better (espeicailly pork fat).

ANYTHING WET added to dry food makes the food rot in very short time - you MUST throw uneaten food out in 20 minutes.

Its better to just put the dry food in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to bring out the natural oils and smells. brown rice is better than white.

at 9 months he can be on Adult food.
One thing you must consider is that when dogs are hungry they will eat. If he drops weight then that is a concern, but just like people some dogs need more food, some dogs need less.

Adding wet food to the dry food has its own problems.. some dog soon only eat the more yummy wet food and soon the owner is trained into feeding wet food only.

You are better to feed a more MEAT based food - put the dry kibble in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to bring out the oils and natural smells.

1 hour hard exercise is a lot for this breed.

I just dont understand the idea of PRETENDING to be your own pet. I love pets.. have several but this seems a bit sick and kinda depressing.

its all well and good to make these kinds of busts but unless they release the impounded ivory at extremely low costs... the demand will force further hunting. If ivory were cheap.. (they have TONS of it in storage) people would buy from the governments and put poachers out of business soon enough.. poaching would be kept illegal and any time the government make a seize they would sell the goods super cheap..

YES. I use to own my own business and had a groomer rent a space from me. She NEVER had anyone sign such a paper. Maybe this is a regional thing.. but where I am this is unheard of. Either way I doubt it would be legally binding. I dont blame the groomer either, as I said in my comment.. it was partially your fault for letting the dog get matted that badly.

I have seen accidents happen, and know they do.. (also seen some bad groomers, but I do not suspect your groomer was bad).. I am gald your dog is okay! Thats what matters.

in the future dont ever sign papers.. its probably not legally binding.. but if they did some serious damage to the dog they would still fight it.. I made a longer comment elsewhere.... in this case its partially your fault for letting the dog get matted.. these breeds need their hair brushed DAILY!

some groomers will pay half the vet bill but because YOU neglected to keep the dogs hair brushed or trimmed you are the reason the dog got matted.. still it wouldnt hurt to ask them.. but I wouldnt push it, and as he didnt charge you I think thats fair.. it really wasnt his fault.

BUT you should NEVER sign a paper.. it probably IS NOT legally binding. (was it witnessed? writen by lawyers?)

call a vet and see if one will take payments, or if your local shelter has a fund they can offer to help you with as some have funds for care for low income people (make sure to make a donation to them in the future when things improve for you)

in the future seeing a vet right away is often cheaper than letting an infection get worse..
