Looks like an easy route to shut down to me, way too low health for the capper for this route to be ideal because it's so exposed.

For pure deathmatching I would rank Raider 1st and Soldier 2nd. Though soldier is easier to play than Raider perhaps.

How about you go find a guy that can actually play Raider and try duel him as a soldier, because you have probably not faced a skilled Raider at all.

Played as a Soldier with Spinfuser+pistol against my clanmate as a Raider, we're roughly equal skilled and there was no way I could win unless I got a direct hit in with the spinfuser. Really annoying and frustrating experience really.

Weapon swapping is pretty much the same as Druids and Warriors in WoW, change form/stance to gain access to new abilities. That's all there is to it.

Me as a Jumper chasing another Jumper with the flag from our flagstand, quickly realize that it's gonna be close to their base before I would able to deal any damage to him. Bolt Launcher wasn't gonna kill him in one hit either so it had to be the Shotgun, luckily for me the Jumper has to slow down because he came in to high which became my (only) chance and I get 2 perfect shots in with the shotgun, return the flag, grab their flag and die close to our flagstand. But still our team gets it and scores.

This is not an issue with the operative/scoundrel class but rather a problem with the tanking classes themselves.

Absorb/Defense/Shield is close to useless because a huge number of skills in this game is Force/Tech abilities, meaning it flies right past Absorb/Defense/Shield stats.

There is no 1k protection single life, no 5k protection single life and no 10k protecion.

There is 2k protection single life, 10k protection singe life, 5k protection and 50k protection.

Seems like you are mixing up the Defender medals and Protection ones.
