as great as that place is, the capacity is only 120. Source: I'm getting hitched there very soon.

this is why this subreddit is going down hill. what's next, a LPT on how to tie your shoes?

I'm 100% certain that this is a troll thread. that, or you're 15 and didn't do well in english class this year.

An American Tourist in London: Part 342, or how the fuck do i get the best of London in 2 days? by edgarallanbohin london

i can totally get behind that. if someone is doing a really great job despite getting paid a decent wage, then i think it's fair to toss them a thank you.

me and my girl come from a long background in the service industry, so we'll at the very least leave a few pounds.

aaah yes, Johns Hopkins can be a bit dodgy, if i'm using that correctly. glad to hear you made it out of that safely. if you ever find yourself stateside again, PM me for some Baltimore related recommendations.

our bars tend to cater to the "i'm on a budget" demographic, so selection is a bit of a hit or miss situation here. nice to hear that it seems like there's a broader selection in terms of a pub's loyalty to a brewer.

i will def. try and find one with a beer garden, that sounds great.

and out of curiosity, where abouts were you in Baltimore when that happened? and why did they let you go for being English? i should give that a try. a terrible fake accent to you all, would probably be terribly convincing here.

haha, drink of the homeless. that's rich. i suppose we really don't have much in the way of other beers that are close to that taste that are readily available. carling is piss though. gave it a shot, didn't care for it.

thanks for the suggestions! i'll keep my ears, and tastebuds open.

the builders cafe seems like the most welcomed idea, as i get my breakfast most mornings over here from a greasy spoon sort of place.

also, that Young's Bitter looks really good.

thanks for a well thought out reply!

ouch on the cab prices. sounds like the underground is a better bet in this case.

thanks for the good advice!

is that close to the prime meridian? if so, i've been there, and it really was a sight.

as for #3, i can see where you're coming from. i could see the converse of someone asking me where the best glass of bud light would be. not in terms of equivalent quality, but in local recognition.

also, thanks for the reply!

the interwebs have informed me that Newkie browns are the slang for a Newcastle Brown. I'm shocked and appalled that the internet may have lied to me.

as for your response to #5, that's exactly what i had in my head. big cities can be charming, but a healthy dose of skepticism and realism will keep you safe.

thanks for the input!
