Agreed. I walk with my head down most of the time now to make sure I don't step on shit.

Reddit, what's the weirdest thing you do on a regular basis? by wheelsAreturningin AskReddit

I used to do this all the time. Cool to read I wasn't the only one!

Have you had a moment during a mundane activity where you stepped back and realized how beautiful the world is? by OverAllGENIUSin AskReddit

[–]dreammaerd 0 points1 point ago

These were all so lovely to read. I definitely have had a bunch of these moments but they tend to blur, so I can't remember any specific one. I'll speak of a recent moment though.

I had just gotten to Berlin for the first time for work training. I was so tired from being on a long flight from the States, riding the tram and bus into the city and finally hauling my suitcase/bags up 14 flights of stairs as there was no elevator. I was so sweaty by the time I got up to the apartment, but once I got to my room, lifted the blinds and pulled the window completely open, I saw an incredibly beautiful sky before me as the sun was setting. Pink, majestic and just so calm, it really caught me off guard. I teared up a little bit in part due to the long journey and that I had finally made it, and in part that something so simple could bring me to see how beautiful the world is.

My brother and me. He's one of my absolute best friends. We're 2 years apart, and he has been the most positive influence on my life growing up. And he's a troll (hence the nose flaring).

Edit: spelling!

You just tell them. You have to! I know you can drop hints, but honestly you can just say, "Would you be interested in meeting up again for some coffee or tea?" If all goes well, you will meet her. If she says no, then at least you put it out there! Just be simple and straightforward :)

Honestly, do it. Plus, you said your mutual friend told you the feelings were mutual! I have a good feeling things will go well, and even if you both got out of relationships recently, you can both agree to just take it slow. It doesn't matter what happened, as long as you both have feelings for each other and enjoy each other's company, nothing that happened in the past needs to change that. Best of luck :)

Aww :-) I am sure you will meet a lovely lady yourself though but if you do find yourself talking to someone, don't be afraid to say something either.

Yes, exactly! I'm not talking about physical moves. I mainly meant the simple act of saying "I like you" with words.

Don't worry too much about what that coffee meeting was (date or not). What makes you doubt that he's interested? If you felt things went well, just say something. If you want to feel it out a little bit for another hangout or so, that's all right, too. I think you should say something though :)

Please do because the wonderful guy I'm dating is also a Redditor ;)

I love this: eskimo kisses with my boyfriend in bed as we are warm and cozy in our pajamas. Sigh, it is so nice especially when there is some nice music in the background.

This is a great, reassuring thread.

Female here, and I do have to say the societal expectations that men need to always be the initiator are shitty. I will admit, I was guilty of thinking this way, too so before I made the first move on the wonderful guy I am dating now (who is also a Redditor btw; Ryan if you read this, I think you found me now!), I kept feeling more and more insecure that maybe he wasn't into it. Friends were even making me question things when they would ask, "oh, you guys have talked for a while and he hasn't made a move yet?"

Well, I finally decided to say "fuck this" and told him. He was just as into it as I was, but it just took him a while because he was wracking his brain around it. Everything went better than expected, and I realize that not every dude is mr. macho man who can smoothly hit on girls or initiate right away. There are a TON of amazing guys out there who are just shy and nervous that it takes them a while or just a gal to say "Hey, I like you." :-)

I'm happy I said something. I hope that for other ladies out there, it's not about appearing "weak" or losing your pride or something when you make the first move on a guy. It's about feeling confident in expressing your feelings for someone who you really like. More chicks need to do this!

Edit: Pretty sure it was from this comment I made, but whoever gifted me Reddit Gold, thank you! Cheers to you for making my evening :-)
