Yeah, he's an absolute Beantown legend. He has been part of so many Celtics titles, second only to Red Auerbach, since he was a commentator during the Bird years and in 2007. Don't the local commentators get a ring too? I at least know Dallas got 60 rings to spread around this year so it's not far-fetched. So Tommy might actually have 14 rings :O

He's still a vet with a lot of experience, obviously not on the same level as CP3. I disagree with that the Wizards, or any lottery team, need to go the Clippers route and trade away young talent for a superstar. I'd rather see these teams do like OKC and keep its young core and let it develop together. A team with nothing but young talent needs an experienced veteran for guidance and leadership and that's where Nene comes in, like Kendrick Perkins was for OKC and recently D-Fish.

Imagine if the Clipper had made no trades at all since Blake Griffin started blowing up. Their starting lineup would be

PG - Kyrie Irving (yep, 'cause they traded the pick for Mo Williams)

SG - Eric Gordon

SF - Caron Butler (they signed him as a free agent)

PF - Blake Griffin

C - DeAndre Jordan

In 2-3 years this team could be on the same caliber as OKC right now.
