See, playing defense, I want that wooden stick for chopping at the puck, and for battling in front of the net, even for poke checking I feel its more effective. I can't rationalize dumping $200-$300 on a stick now that I'll only feel comfortable using on the powerplay.

Poke checking just seems a lot more effective with the heavy stick, its also nice for giving out some chops during those battles in front of the net. Getting whacked in the wrist by a heavy wood stick is a bit more noticable XD

Wooden sher woods with the coffey curve. Been using em since I was 11. Can't play with composite sticks. Don't like the weightless feel.
