Provident Credit Union. I haven't used their loans (I think they're around 2%) but the dividends on their accounts are great.

No credit union is FDIC insured because the FDIC only insures banks. Credit unions are insured by another government agency called the National Credit Union Administration for up to $250,000. So SFFCU would be included in that.

Good luck, the cat makes it a pretty hard sell for 1000. I'd recommend you don't tell your landlord about the cat, it'll make it a lot easier to find a place to live, and it's usually pretty easy to conceal.

I love this. As a fellow San Franciscan actor, it's good to see grassroots theatres putting on good work. I haven't seen anything by Bindlestiff, but now I sure will.

I can second this. Not only do they have a good selection, but they have the plays that other stores should have but don't. Lot's of politically minded theatre, as well as a fairly wide selection of contemporary and classical stuff. It's my go-to for plays.
