Do it up. If your work doesn't give you any free snacks and stuff I would suggest upping it to 2$ a day so at least you can eat 2 meals.

Well I haven't bought groceries in like a year so definitely eating out is going to be the hardest. I'm use to spending 150$ at the bar on weekends so I'll have to try and find some kind of other entertainment. I guess everything I ever do I spend money as I never take advantage of the free things in my city.

Hmmm... I'll see how much the rice and beans will be if I portioned it out. Doubt I can do the bananas as I'm sure I'll go over my 7$ / week

Well I averaged out how much I've been spending a day (including food, bars, etc.) and it came up to 50$ / day (that's excluding bills, rent). I figure if I do this for a month I can see what I can live without and what I still end up craving at the end of it.

I actually thought about cancelling my internet and cable for the 31 days but I don't think my room mate would be pleased with that... I will indeed be eating at night, I'm checking the grocery store weekly flyer right now for what I can get for a dollar or under a day.

Used to hang out with this guy where I grew up and his 10 year old brother was doing all the above listed. I can see this plausibly happening with an extra generation of family influence.

Yea I think that's a part of it. More so I just worry about trying to bench mark myself against other people but never know exactly how to go about doing that because it's difficult in my field.

I remember the first time I went too far and actually thought I broke mine. I went swimming with my nokia phone. The screen fogged up for a few hours which really scared me but of course that beast of a cellphone cleared up and was fine.
