I'd like to see this for Canada as well. Looks like it's just a US-based initiative. Great idea!

Canadian here, unfortunately I haven't seen Amlactin but I have read about doing a dry brushing (ie. use a brush, loofa, or any exfoliating cloth) on the affected area and then putting on Eucerin (10% urea) lotion. I just started but my skin feels smoother.

Canadian here...

At Costco they sell Old Country Farmer's Sausage that is gluten-free and sugar free.

President's Choice bratwurst (Oktoberfest? can't remember) are also sugar free and can be an option for breakfast sausages. They're really delicious.

Don't hate the messenger, but try giving up caffeine. Caffeine does weird things to a woman during that time of the month. After giving it up, I'm less cranky, no sore boobs, less soreness. Sometimes I don't even know it's going to happen until it happens. I will have a day or two of tummy yuckiness but that is about it. I do have cravings such as salt and fat but it's not raging. Sometimes I even have regular coffee as well but I drink decaf on a regular basis.

Why does this steak have 41g carbs?? by Krickettein keto

[–]craic_of_dawn -4 points-3 points ago

Who knows if there is some type of sugar in that herb/oil they are brushing on. However note that muscle does still contain some glycogen so that could be what they are counting.

The other thing is they could be counting in the carbs from the veggies.

Twelve ounces of steak is a huge amount. Normal serving is 3oz. so if you ate it as a regular suggested serving, it would only be 1/4 of listed carbs.

I actually just made apple cider coleslaw recently with my own ingredients thrown in:

Sorry I wish I could give exact amounts but usually I throw stuff together and taste as I go. I've listed everything in order of declining amounts.

  • mixed cabbage
  • celery stalk cut into pieces
  • olive oil
  • apple cider vinegar
  • red onion
  • dijon mustard (about 1-2 tbsp)
  • celery salt (a few dashes)
  • cayenne pepper (a dash or two)

Mix and let it sit in the fridge for a few hours to absorb all the flavors.

Enjoy!

Yes protein can. From what I understand, protein first goes to your everyday maintenance (building muscles, enzymes, etc), then to your nitrogen pool, excess will be eliminated or converted to glucose, depending on what's going on in your body.

From what I understand, losing weight (not just cutting carbs) makes a large difference in your blood sugar. If you are going from insulin resistant to normal, the change in weight and your eating plan definitely helps. Some of us just have to be more careful.

Have you ever had your gall bladder out? If so, try taking bile salts with any fatty meal.

White carbs, brown carbs, it doesn't matter. Sucrose breaks down to glucose/fructose, starch breaks down to glucose, lactose breaks down to galactose/glucose, maltose breaks down to glucose/glucose. We can go on...

EDIT: I hope that helps.

Off topic but has to do with Dr. Gupta.... Not very long ago Dr. Gupta was on ANDERSON talking about how he saw what a layer of saturated fats looked like in the blood (in a test tube) versus polyunsaturated fats, and this concluded for him that he would eliminate all saturated fats from his diet. I couldn't believe that a doctor was displaying a hardened vial of saturated fat in blood at room temperature, still scaring the public.

HELP! Found this on my front tire today, what could have happened? is it safe? by stewymanin motorcycles

[–]craic_of_dawn 0 points1 point ago

This happened to me in Oct 2011. I bought the bike secondhand in 2010 and I had no idea it had a plug in the back tire. After a long ride out on the highway and all over the city, I parked the bike and heard a loud hissing sound coming from the tire. No wonder I had to keep filling it now and then. I'm so fortunate that nothing serious happened out on the highway or ended up with a flat tire in the middle of nowhere. Tire was replaced. Happy ridin'!

As someone who had the "big cut" gall bladder surgery (about 25-30 staples), I would have to agree with the painful recovery period. The decision to remove skin should be done when you are physically and mentally ready.

Yep my mistake. Type 1 is an auto-immune disease and Type 2 is brought on by lifestyle. Both can be affected by predisposition to Diabetes.
