It's great fun and i love it! Formula is really expensive and very few people can drive it. I got offered a Formula Renault contract in the North European Champs and some Euro races, but what they wanted for one race is what i spend on my team with mine and my teammates car in three races. So that didn't go well. Last year the Swedish FR scene died out for the 3rd time in 10 years. The money just isn't there!

Karting is something i do between races and during the month long rest we have during summer. It's great fun getting out the old KF3 every now and again!

Same here, I though the Euro champs and all the other races i did in my last karting year cost a lot! I drove 21 races in total '08 and most of the money came from sponsors. Then i saw the rich guys living on the road driving every series and spending over 300k a year. It was insane!

I think i turned out OK though. I own a team and earn some money driving this and working with racing events.

Tell me about it. My school laptop (hp probook 6450b) takes around 5 minutes to boot. I hate that piece of shit and worst of all, I'm forced to use it every week in school... The screen broke on it once and i didn't have to use it for 2 weeks. Let me tell you, best 2 weeks ever. I got to use my Packard Bell Easynote TJ75 instead and all was good. Boots in less than a minute and does EVERYTHING faster.

When i was driving in pro karting back in '08 the drivers that everyone expected to be in F1 by 2015 where Nyck De Vries and Aaro Vainio. They had the money that most of us other drivers didn't have. I think Nyck is driving in Formula Renault Euro series under the Mclaren drivers program currently and Aaro is in Gp3. I've raced them both and they both has got the support and talent to make it.

This is just suggestions and i might sound like a retard.

You have to think outside of being just Opera here.

What Opera needs then is an innovation that gets the tech sites going. Opera has got a lot of features that Chrome and FF hasn't copied yet. Get in contact with pcworld or gizmodo etc etc and challenge the other browsers. This is a great way to get out and show yourself to the tech crowd.

Awesome, but we want the general public to know of opera as well. Step one is of course to have social interaction. An active facebook page and fb advertisements does not cost that much to keep up and chances are that some people will se it and decide to check it out. Twitter would also work in this sense. However this is still not good enough.

What we have to think about is what people do on the internet. we can probably put a top 3 here.

Browse and update social sites (fb, twitter, etc)
Watch YouTube videos
Read news

Number 1 is the easy one. Be social is all. Competitions where you can win some stuff is always popular.

Number 2 is the one we want. You guys have already got a YT channel with some really nice videos on it. Last one was uploaded 1 month ago, too long. A funny developer blog once a week is easy to do and helps to show what a cool bunch you guys are.

If you can partner just one big vlogger or whoever then you got yourself a winning concept. You'd be surprised at how much people listen to these guys.

Number 3 is the most difficult one. Tech news shouldn't be to hard but popular news sites is a whole different story. We do not have the budget to do something like "Metro news, presented by Opera".

What we do have is the techpages of every news site ever. Mail or call them, say you'll reinvent the web browsing experience with Opera 12 and you got a story right there. You have to sound dramatic. The tech pages on a news site isn't like pcworld. They do not report that opera unity has new features. They report when you a) release something big and innovative or b) when one company says that they're gonna kick googles ass or something like that. Also if you release an Opera phone but yeah... You get the deal.

I might be totally off here but it's just my thoughts.

I would love to see one of these three things:

Some sort of portal device. Not THE portal gun but maybe some sort of twist on it.
A physics altering weapon. Perhgaps something that allows you to change the shape of objects in the world. Maybe it's a gun that you can steer the bullets on?
Some sort of time altering weapon. Like Singularity but more refined. Would be awesome to be able to stop bullets or something similar.

But no matter what they do. It'll probably be the best game ever made.
