Well to all the people talking down on the yakuza, IIRC the yakuza actually runs themselves more like a business, only dealing with drugs and prostitution. Thievery is actually looked down upon. So this is more of them taking care of their business.

This is a lot of bandwagoning on Reddit... J&J isn't the huge corporate machine that you think of when you hear big pharma. I cooped there for 6 months and we did take the issue very seriously. Hell we felt the issues hard and we're in medical devices. No need to blow this up more than it is... there's a lot of innocent people affected; they laid off an entire plant over this thing. Plus, don't we have bigger things to deal with at the moment?

You're assuming people of 100 years ago were retarded and can't comprehend a jump in technology. They can't comprehend it only because they haven't discovered it yet. I'm sure an hour explaining the major technological breakthroughs of the last century would put them on our level. Hell, most of the people in our time don't understand how it works, just that it "does".

I'd expect a revolution in America before one in China.

China isn't the nicest government out of the lot, but they're not the worst either. A lot of redditors are up in arms against internet censorship, and while everyone likes free internet, its not the worst thing that could happen. A lot of these revolutions are happening in countries where unemployment is skyrocketing, corruption is rampant and nothing is being done. In China, while there is still corruption, its not a blind government and they ARE getting progress. Its not yet a breeding ground for revolution.

Yes. Well, the frequency of the piezo is inherent to each piezo. When they tune it, they don't tune the piezo itself, but attach capacitors to each side of the piezo. Those are actually what gets tuned for the proper output.
