Thanks! I'm still having an internal struggle with what to put in there. I don't want a standard boring pilot, but I can't decide between a batman action figure or a T-rex or something.

I answered more detail above, but it's an E-flite Power 46. I went electric so I can fly it behind my apartment complex without attracting too much attention.

Yeah, flying this for the first couple of times has been nerve-wracking to say the least.

Thanks, I loves me some Stevens Point and MBC.

It is a Great Planes Ultimate Biplane 40, this one. I'm not sure if they still make it though.

I'll try! It's supposed to be pretty windy tonight so I don't know if I'll have the testicular fortitude to take it out again.

Thanks! I'll try to post some later tonight if I can fly it some more. I only have a short video of it taking off for the first time.

Point taken. I honestly didn't know if anyone would care though.

I was knocked unconscious by a brick wall doing this in gradeschool.

Thanks. I went electric since I wanted to fly it in the field behind my apartment complex. It has an E-flite Power 46 brushless motor, E-flite 60A ESC, and Hyperion 5S 4000mAh LiPo battery.

Thanks! It is actually the second plane I've built, but the first one was about 10 years ago, when I was 14. So while I am an engineer now, a 14-year-old is perfectly capable of building these. It just requires a lot of patience and measure-twice-cut-once rigor.

This build took me 5 months from start to finish, but that was at a very low duty cycle. I probably worked on it a couple hours a week on average. The great thing about a project like this is you can take however long you want, and even if you just have a few hours here and there your creation will eventually grow into an airplane. And that is an awesome feeling.

Yeah, I definitely enjoyed it. And yes, I live in Kenosha, how could you tell? My beer choices?

If I upgrade the rechargeable batteries for my power tools to a higher rating (mAh), would the tool's old charger be able to fully charge the cells? by 40_lbin answers

Yes, as long as they are the same voltage. It will just take longer.

In telegraphs, they used to use a really short beep.

That is giving the vast majority of people much more credit than they deserve.
