you bought the most common cory they sell. Interesting note...these guys are INDESTRUCTIBLE! My friend had them survive entire tank cleanings, forgetting they were in there, dumping all the gravel (and them!) into a bucket with no water for a few hrs. They survived. They also survived on his carpet for an hour when one accidentally leaped out of the tank and he couldn't find it.

so the answer is...just do the normal stuff that is good for plants and a tank, and the plants should grow while keeping algae in check.
