What's the most degrading thing you've done for money? by theknightwhosays_neein AskReddit

Thats almost as bad as... blowing a guy for 30 minutes for tickets to a sold out show, and finding out they were selling them at the door!

After 100s of rage-quits and blue shells, I finally did it! by fuck_prostitutesin gaming

[–]c4boom13 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, i got gold on all the 50cc and 100cc cups, then got two gold on the 150cc and gave up from frustration. And this is after I spent a couple years on and off getting all gold on mario kart 64. Silly me thinking I would have fun doing it again.

Rubberband AI basically means no matter how well you drive, they snap back to right behind you through BS item luck or just a plain old speed boost. It makes me rage so hard in the Wii version.

Over 60 students in west Michigan suspended, banned from senior walk, forced to miss exams for simply biking to school this morning; they had an escort from the mayor and police as well. by WestMIRailroaderin WTF

I walked passed my principal on graduation and shook only the super intendants hand. The look on his face made it all worth it.

Edit: I did not walk by a principle.

Now that I go back and look for it, I can't for the life of me find proof online. I'll have to re-watch it soon and see if I can find it.

Water sanitation workers: Do you drink tap water? by unravelledin AskReddit

[–]c4boom13 0 points1 point ago

I do know they're hardcore about contamination too. When my Dad's construction company did work there, they had to flush the water saws and clean the trucks with Poland Spring water to avoid contamination from other sources.

Is it illegal for tow companies to enter your car when towing your car? by molochwalkerin AskReddit

[–]c4boom13 0 points1 point ago

I would assume it is, especially if it was locked. They're not a state official, they're a private company. I don't see why they need to be in your car to tow it, and to me it would be the same as some guy off the street hopping in my car.

I'm not sure if I should stick with Computer Engineering or go into IT. Advice? by dracaniusin AskReddit

[–]c4boom13 0 points1 point ago

Before you just suck it up I will point out I'm CE and notoriously bad at handling question I deem stupid so I'm biased, however my Mother does IT for a subsidiary of a large American company so I hear that side of it also. I encourage you to look more into both fields and PM me with any questions.

My best friends funeral is scheduled to be picketed is there anything I can do? by NeverReadsOPin AskReddit

[–]c4boom13 3 points4 points ago

Not to mention if someone at Walmart refused to do it, they would just get fired and someone else who worked there would handle it. This isn't some local place with an owned/operator in the store. The people who work there need to put food on the table, and not changing their tires is in my opinion a dumb way to lose your job and make no difference.

I'm not sure if I should stick with Computer Engineering or go into IT. Advice? by dracaniusin AskReddit

[–]c4boom13 1 point2 points ago

Yes, CE is more hardware building. Its circuits, components, low level design and programming. I'm talking programming drivers, PLCs, robotics, hooking up logic gates. Its ENGINEERING. You take what you know and apply it to solve problems with a product you design. Thats not easy and you get paid accordingly.

IT is either going to be help desk bitch work, aka My monitor is dark, why? Did you plug it in sir? moments, or back-end management such as program rollout, update management, server maintenance/admin, and hardware management. Do not got paid as well at low level (I'm talking not much above minimum wage), but a high level admin can do VERY well.

In reality they're really different fields. Just because they both involve computers does not mean your day to day work is even remotely similar. Pick the one that seems more interesting to you.

What is the most enraging thing that anyone has ever said to you? by FryLord1336in AskReddit

"Did you declare it as a global variable?"

Yes. I ignored 3 years of programming education/experience, and decided I was going to use a global variable as a counter for a while loop.

As some context, this was a bio major auditing a computer engineering course (my major). He also has a habit of attempting to correct fellow students and professors, and being wrong.
