avast has more features than mse, but mse has a cleaner interface and seems a little lighter. They are both good and can see why one might prefer avast.

Yep, if its automated its like they didn't even hear it. For example, I do DSL tech support. If we have a large outage we will put up an automated message letting everyone know there is an outage in the area, that we are currently working to fix it, and an ETA if we have one.

So naturally, we get immediately get a shitload voicemail messages saying "OMG IS THERE AN OUTAGE?!?!!!" "HEY MY INTERNET STOPPED WORKING!!!" (And to leave a voicemail you have to listen to the whole automated message beforehand)

I was pretty conflicted when it came to the first witcher, the story was was top notch, but the game engine was a piece of garbage and the combat kind of sucked.

Witcher 2 is simply amazing though :)

I've never had a full on migraine with pain, but I do get what you describe occasionally (I've seen them called ocular, silent, or visual migraines). Even without the pain they are extremely uncomfortable and pretty much render me useless for the duration.

most windows installs have flash anyway, and many users don't update it. I think this is probably better for security overall, because at least windows 8 flash users should be automatically up to date.

They did it to roll out features faster/more consistently, instead of shoving them all in a giant release. Firefox fell WAY behind the other browsers with 3.x during 4.0's absurdly long vista-esq dev cycle. The 'version numbers' may possibly be a small part of the reasoning for the new release cycle, but certainly not the reason they decided to change it like people keep insinuating...

I think the new release cycle has definitely benefited firefox, we get performance improvements and new features much more often now.

I've had "ocular migraines" before, and just the visual symptoms were pretty bad and made me totally miserable for the duration. I can't even imagine a full on migraine with the pain AND the visual symtoms.

I doubt it will actually be 35 gigs, I think people are just looking at the system requirements and taking it literally. The system requirements for hdd space are generally higher than how big the game actually is.
