Joe Maddon: "We will respond, I promise you that." by avrpatsfanin baseball

I'm unsure what you're trying to say

Bench-clearing scuffle at Fenway after Morales plucks Scott in the leg by a_happy_tigerin baseball

I don't think the consensus was that it was unintentional but after you make a guy faint intentionally or unintentionally make sure you can aim the ball better next time you go out and hit someone.

Yeah, Bobby V really shouldn't have said that. He was basically admitting he did it on purpose. Shouldn't that be a suspension too? I don't know about Matt Moore's last week but I know for a fact Badenhop did not hit Pedroia on purpose. Joe Maddon would never risk the game like that.

Also, Morales needs to learn where to aim the ball if he's going to hit someone. He needs to know that he can't hit people in the arm or the leg because that can cause serious injury to people. He almost broke Rhyme's arm last week and could have injured Scott here.

Did it really? I fell asleep in the 6th inning. How did he not get ejected for that? If you miss 3 times and then plunk the guy in the fourth isn't that enough evidence to know you were doing it on purpose?

Not to mention it was Badenhop. If they really wanted to hit pedroia with ortiz on deck so he has a chance to tie the game, which they wouldn't, they would bring in Jake Mcgee who can throw 98 not Badenhop, a sinkerballer who touches 91. Geez. Didn't Morales almost break Rhymes' arm like a week ago too? If you're going to hit someone, go for the back. Don't nail them in the arm or the leg.

Yeah, after he said that and I read that meme, I kind of stopped taking this writer seriously.

Did people not read the quote? He didn't call fenway a dump. He called it a dump for players to get their work in. Tropicana is bad, obviously, but from what I understand its a nice place for players to work.

The Rays have been doing it for a while. Joe Maddon loves these fun themed trips

So Verlander hit 102mph and followed it with an 83mph curve, in the 8th inning with 110+ pitches. by kah88in baseball

[–]bshine 1 point2 points ago

Maybe they do it on purpose...I always figured they don't want to whip out 100 right out of the gates they are pacing themselves, but once they have a ton of pitches and are down to their last inning anyway, they let it loose.

Major League Baseball 2K Series Ending. Let us pray for the return of MLB the show by DASBOOTnDASPOOin baseball

I bought a ps3 pretty specifically for the show, and its a great game that's tons of fun. The online play is generally pretty bad though and there's a few glitches that can get annoying.

Who do you think has the best fans in baseball? by FreckenZeDeutschin baseball

[–]bshine 1 point2 points ago

Kind of how every team is though, I don't think its unique to a city. People who love baseball will continue watching their team through thick and thin but a lot of people just watch baseball if the team is good.

I think he's starting to click. He's shown signs of brilliance in his last two starts. Once he gets his release point down, he's going to be lights out like he was last year and in the minors. Remember, the kid is still 22 years old. I'm looking forward to watching him for the next 8 years

Moore can definitely hit 100. He touches 98 and the "high heat" is usually 97 in games. I believe he threw 100 a few times in the minors though. He has a really smooth and effortless delivery.

Haha, it was gladiators though. Luke Scott and Carlos Pena are huge gladiator fans and when they saw that they could buy the masks online they couldn't pass it up. That's Rodney and Peralta wearing them though

One of my friends is a big Rays fan, and before 2009 I hated baseball. Starting the 2010 season, I figured I'd watch a few games and see how the Rays are doing. Once I actually gave it a chance, I loved it. Its probably my favorite sport, and definitely the one I know the most about.

I understand how it looks from someone who has never been to the trop, but the C ring is so far out there that I don't think its possible for it to hit the wire about that catwalk and not leave the park. It could drop straight down and almost leave the park.

Yeah, and by the way, Rasmus did not in any way have a clear beat on it. He was searching for it the whole time and you could tell from his footwork.
