My advice?

Don't kick the habit on will power alone.

Kick the living shit out of it, yes, but do it with anger. Use your anger to choke it to death with your bare hands, screaming at the top of your lungs until the slobber runs down your chin, and your eyes bleed from all the force.

Breaking an addiction isn't a matter of will. Its a matter of anger. If it were a matter of will, you wouldn't have become addicted in the first place; your will would have prevented your addiction from setting its roots and taking over. The reality is, breaking free requires anger. In anger, nature has given us an unbelievable power to change ourselves and solve problems--so, put that power to use. Get angry enough at it that it serves as a vehicle for your recovery.

Ill share with you one of the most important thing ive ever learned. "Pig". The instant you feel like falling back, just say quietly in your own mind, to yourself, "....Fucking pig." The pig represents your addiction, your problem, the thing holding you back. The pig will stop at nothing to take everything it can away from you. The pig will take advantage of you every chance it gets. Just remind yourself, every time that fucking pig comes calling, that you know it's game. You know how it operates, and you're fucking sick and tired of it. On every twinge, say it to yourself. Fucking pig. Fucking pig. Fucking pig. Every time. Get angry with it. Eventually, your brain will rewire your addiction into a repulsion.

This technique will get you over everything from addictions to bad relationships. Even if you have to say it to yourself literally several hundred times a day, keep doing it. Eventually, you'll see it go down, day by day, the pig will go away and find an easier victim somewhere else. Every day, you win.

Use your anger as a vehicle to implement the changes you need to see in life. It's a beautiful thing.
