TROPHY CASE

Because dog bacon would taste fucking disgusting by UnitedTruthin funny

Just about every time an animal kills a human, nearly everyone with a gun in that area will go in search of the "mankiller". Imagine if animals did that back.

Does Fish oil help one's skin (eating it)? by Tzeentch99in Health

[–]bluequail 0 points1 point ago

there IS a brand cleanser/wash available called Cetaphil

I think it would probably be safe for dogs. Usually the hazard in topical medicines for animals is them licking and ingesting it. His tongue can't reach his brow. :)

How often would I use it for something like that? or just follow the directions on the container?

Here is kind of a handy guide to the dental life of a cow. If you are getting rid of them at 8, you've pretty much used them up.

I will try that. He has been doing this since we pulled him in 08/10. And I've had him to the vet several times, and that is when they originally gave me the shampoo for him. But that hasn't helped, even though it was prescription strength. :)

Actually most are under a year old when slaughtered. That is when the meat is tender. Plus there is no profit to be gained by feeding a steer for 3-4 years, and cutting into their profit margin.

Cows do not have the teeth needed to live 20 years. The other thing is that a mush-mouthed cow (10 years old) isn't going to be steak quality, they are only going to be ground beef quality.

I am going to have to call bullshit on you.

I had one for a few weeks and all it did was eat the dirt off my floor.

Most of us don't keep dirt on the floor for the pet pigs to eat.

Based on that, why don't animals get to eat humans?

I keep looking at the draw string pants, thinking they can last him more than just one pants size. That if he gets the 58s, he can wear them from a size 60 to a 56. That with a polo shirt would make him interview ready, anyhow.

I suspect that he doesn't have full time internet access, otherwise we would have heard back from him already. I wished I had an idea of how quickly he was losing inches.

And... I still haven't heard back from my friends that I had mailed.

The oil exudes the worst just above his eyes on the brows. You can see it beading up, much like sweat, only when you touch it, it has that nasty, oily texture to it.

And myself, I worry about it running into his eyes if he sweats. I guess I just need to find something else.

Animals in shelters and abuse, are we all to blame? by Calendula222in AnimalRights

[–]bluequail 0 points1 point ago

While many will say they don’t abuse or neglect animals, in some way we all do, we all are participating by the sheer fact we know they are there, the statistics are there, millions of abandoned pets are just there.

No, not even close. There are people like myself who dedicate most of their life to rescue, and we pull dogs from the shelters, sterilize and rehome them. In fact, right now out of 3 dogs in my home, not a single dog is one that I would have chosen to keep as my personal dog, but they were dogs that needed a place to live out their lives.

I chew out everyone that I know of that lets their dog breed, and now have a limited pool of people that are happy to see me because of it. And right now we are living in kind of a poorer, rural area, so there are a lot of ass-chewings going around. Even the people who let their dogs get pregnant and give away the puppies are a major part of the problem, they are teaching the new owners that dogs have no value, and if this one dies, they can just get another puppy. I tear people up over this shit.

Irresponsible owners are who are to blame, those that don't sterilize and those that can't/won't keep their pets in their own yards or houses. People who buy from pet shops and roadside venders are to blame.

I won't get after every breeder. I work with a breed specific club, and the breeders who won't take back their dog under every circumstance is banned from the breed club, and the breed specific shows. Not only that, but even the breeders who do follow the rules of the breed club financially (and physically) support the rescue, so we can do amazing things for the dogs that come back in, broken and sick from the backyard breeders and puppy mills who are only out there to make a buck.

Archie, there is a young man in dire need of 6x stuff. Have you outgrown your 6x stuff to where we might be able to talk you out of them for him?

Hey there - I hate to hijack his thread, but I have questions for you.

I've got a dog here, he actually belongs to the county, but since he is unadoptable, we've just kept him with us. His biggest issue is skin issues, on the outside, anyhow.

When I first pulled him from the shelter, he had a staph infection on his skin, two types of mange and a yeast infection on his skin. He also had severe food allergies. We've gotten most of these issues cleared up at a medical level, yet... he still looks like crap.

He oozes a really nasty smelling oil off of his face and forehead. I've used benzoyl peroxide shampoo (vet rx) and ointment on his face. He still oozes that oil.

Do you think that the tea tree oil would help with something like that?

Haven't found myself in a relationship in about five years... by _GreyMattersin amiugly

[–]bluequail 0 points1 point ago

That is because your hair is fine. Not as in better than anyone else's hair, but as in each strand of hair being extra thin. I think it looks good with the cut you have.

There are too many females that are into the Bieber thing, and want guys to have that dorky looking cut. Don't do that.

Coyote hunters: Mountain cur dogs used to lure predators in close by webdoodlein Hunting

[–]bluequail 0 points1 point ago

The friend had an old VHS tape showing his dogs luring coyotes in. Intrigued, Johnson bought a pup from the friend, then another. “I came up with the decoy thing because nobody was doing it. Then I got these outlaws in with me,” Johnson said.

Actually an old coyote trick is to use a female in heat to lure domestic dogs out, and then the whole pack will kill them.

Second thing -

Old Yeller, popularized in the Disney movie, was a cur.

He wasn't just a cur, but a mountain cur. And here in south Texas, the black mouth curs and yellow curs are both pretty popular.

[–]bluequail 3 points4 points ago

Seth, I originally read your thread last night and have given it a lot of thought. I know you are losing weight rapidly right now due to your surgery.

I am contacting everyone that I know that had had a male in their household that had the lapband surgery done, and am asking them about the clothes that they have lost weight out of, and what they might have available for you.

I also talked to my husband about possibly looking around in thrift shops in our area, since there are a lot of people who have gotten the lapband, I might be able to find some in our area, vs. you only looking in your area.

I hate to say it, but at this point, it doesn't even make sense for you to buy new clothes. You will probably fit a certain size for less than two weeks.

So let me take a look locally and see what I can find.

The other thing. I've known two people who had the gastric bypass, and both of them started putting the weight back on after about 5-6 years. But they both didn't learn healthy habits while they were in their thin stage. I really want to advocate that once you seemed to have maxed out your weight loss, to continue to work out, learn to eat healthy, and hopefully the weight gain won't happen to you again.

Sneezed really hard now one of my ears has worse hearing than the other? by physicshelpplease99in Health

It is possible that you might have messed up your ear drum. Once again, go see a doctor. And try not to let your ear get wet on the inside until you see a doctor.

We made the mistake of going there one time (and one time only), and I received an 8 oz piece of gristle. Not a tough steak, it was literally a piece of gristle with a small border of meat around it.

Constipation worse than ever. by cdie89in Health

[–]bluequail -1 points0 points ago

To make you go "right now". Epsom salts. It will clean you out. Or an enema.

To go in a day or two - Magnesium citrate.

But as far as regulating so you go on a regular basis? Eat more fiber. Oatmeal, oranges, grapes, lettuce, and just anything that has bulk fiber in it, and try to eat it between meals, if you don't eat your meals with a lot of fiber. Drink a lot of liquid as well.

Exercise helps a lot. Just get out and walk some.
