What are some boyfriend/girlfriend/relationship hacks? Example from my girlfriend inside. (Potentially NSFW?) by cjknjknin AskReddit

It's a good idea in life to only marry people with whom you don't need to use the element of surprise to keep them from cheating on you.

It could be anyone who was jealous of our deep love for each other.

It wasn't on the balcony. Inside the backyard (which is protected by a tall wooden fence secured by a deadbolt) there's a locked iron cage surrounding the basement door, secured by a deadbolt. It was taken out of that.

But it wasn't just free outside. It was a) in our backyard, behind a hall locked fence. and b) inside of that, it was inside a locked iron cage attached to the house under the porch, and not visible from the street, or rather the back alley. If you'd asked me before it was taken whether it was possible to enter without tearing the wrought iron off, I would have said no.

Tried to swing a golf club to hit a ball but flung the club 100 yards a way into a lake.

Just had sex for the first time. It went terribly. I'm ashamed of myself... did anyone else's first time go terribly wrong? by HawthornWipesin AskReddit

He can't "make sure she takes them." Morning after pills are serious shit and he can't decide for her whether or not to take them. He can help her get them, express his opinions in clear, rational words why he thinks it's in the best interest of both for her to take them, and be supportive of her during the physical (and, because it's a crazy dose of hormones, emotional) fall-out after she does take them, but you can't "make sure" anyone puts pills in a body that's not yours.

What was your biggest fuckup in your life? by SenorFishin AskReddit

Your choice is your choice and it's cool, but please, please don't refer to adoption as the easy way out. You haven't walked that path and you don't know it; why knock it?

The last thing I need right now is another animal. Will someone adopt this guy, so I don't have to? by likeahurricanein washingtondc

If it turns out that the kitty does not belong to shrimp_are_delicious, I'm tentatively interested. I'm curious though -- does anyone know what the cost/benefit of getting a cat through reddit and then paying for shots/ neutering/license is as opposed to getting a cat through a shelter? I know there's an adoption fee, but I think shelters offer discounts on the shots and neutering, and don't know whether they're available to other folks as well.

Moving to Arlington. Need Cable and Internet. Comcast or Verizon FiOS? by Rubin0in washingtondc

Verizon's customer service, in my experience, is terrible. I can't mention the company's name in front of my sister/roommate, or else she starts shaking with rage.

Agreed. Any kind of non-standard sexy times, it's a good idea to talk about ahead of time, but rape scenes in particular, for obvious reasons. Thought from the way it was phrased that you were in a situation where everyone knew what was going on.

This is what safewords were made for. Rape fantasies are pretty vanilla as far as heterosexual women's interests go. Most fetishes are based in taboo, and rape is a pretty big taboo, so it's not crazy that this is an idea that turns women on, and it doesn't say anything about their upbringing. This particular lady may have been a nutcase, and since it was her fantasy, she probably had the onus to lay the ground rules and come up with a safeword, but saying, "no, stop," in the middle of acting out a consensually agreed upon rape scene ... what did you expect?

Dude, yes. I am a lady and went to college in the south a few years back. There were guys I went to school with who would get visibly uncomfortable when I tried to hold doors for them if I went through first, and would straight up refuse to walk through until I released the door and allowed them to hold it for me. It didn't make me angry, exactly, but it just seemed really deeply silly.

For this reason, I never understand why humans have chosen to live in states like that. You know there are other places to live, right?

It sounds like you adopted within the U.S. Can I ask what, if any, agency you used, or how you began your process?
