Well 24-8 hours of sleep, then 16-8 hours of work M-F for most people. So 8 hours, a full 1/3rd of your day can be spent doing whatever you want. Although for some people that involves an hour long commute. So that is 6 hours. 6 hours free everyday to do whatever you want. Ah I forgot that you need to eat breakfast lunch and dinner and get ready for work. Lets be optimistic and say you can get ready for work and eat breakfast in 30 minutes. And we'll also say lunch is 30 and so is dinner. So that is 4.5 hours every day you have to do whatever it is you want to do so long as you don't cook dinner (cause 30 mins isn't really that much time to cook dinner) or have any other obligations like picking up kids from places, laundry, or food shopping to do. So conservatively 4.5 hours everyday of the week. They have no excuse.

Well they could actually work more than the 40 hour work week like many people do because they're on salary and it might've been an "atypical busy week" so lets just say 41 hours a day... makes it 3.5 hours in a typical work week. Suddenly the reality isn't so easy as saying all people are lazy and don't want to take care of themselves. I guess you could also count the weekends as time, which is 48-16, hours or 32 hours to do stuff with. But not exercising everyday and only doing it 3 consecutive days out of the 7 isn't the greatest way to say in shape or boost your metabolism.

Oh yeah.. might also be more costly in terms of time to make healthier meals everyday via cooking. Not to say there aren't good options but those that work and have other responsibilities are going to have a hard time. Now include the fact that you might be talking about the working poor where they reality is they really might be working two jobs, so more time spent traveling, plus not a lot of money to spend on better prepared food and also might not have the money to spend on a gym membership ... let alone the time. And some people might really self medicate with food to make themselves feel better (it does release dopamine/serotonin).

The reality is .. there are those that really don't want to take responsibility/want to make excuses or are scared of failing, but the reasons why America is obese might be far more complicated than you think.

Well if that is true it might be good would to go on a strong antibiotic just in case. But more importantly, especially with your symptoms anyway, a good pro-biotic. The pro-biotic you can start right away and for me I had active collitus that was cleared up by VSL #3 which is AMAZING stuff. You can get it at costco for $40 a bottle of capsules or $60 a box of packets. I'd pick up both types although the packets are gross as you need to put it in water and drink it but it'll get good bacteria in your mouth and esophagus. I guess you could also open up the pills and do the same thing. I think amazon also sells it although I like costco pharmacy a lot.

The pro-biotic can't hurt you. If you mention the tick to a physician they might put you on an anti-biotic and in that case you would want to take it at least 2 hours after/before the anti-biotic.

A better to say that is fuck the Chinese government for allowing that to happen. But yes its also not a good idea to generalize the government as being a unanimous consensus or that they might actually condone it because it happens in China.

Yeah I guess you had to be there. Cuil was suppose to be a new search engine that had better results than google. What ended up happening is that when you put in a search term it would be so ridiculously far off that it being joked about that it was detached from reality. The level in which something detached from reality was then a cuil level. The post made in the comments where this originated then kind of made an example out of that in a story... which is what swilts was referencing.

Its also an advertisement for MSNBC. Have to realize that she was somewhat "politically" minded when she wrote that as an advertisement. I'm sure there are aspects that she chose about her family's history and her background that were chosen only because it happened to coincide with showing how much her mom loves America (and therefore how much Rachael does as well), how hard working she is (not a lazy liberal mentality) and the ability she had to chose to be an American (choice). I bet what she said to her or wrote in the card she gave her mom, as well as whatever gift she gave her was a bit more personal. Its not any different then when SNL does mother's day skits - for instance last night's with Will Ferrel. Mostly for comedy, but did say happy mother's day to his mom on a public avenue with millions watching.

My impression was that it was vague and I don't think they did any sort of actual engineering design of this stuff.

This seems all theoretical in the sense that they're talking out of their ass. How could they be so close together without hitting into each other and causing physical damage? Wouldn't that make noise if it was made out of "carbon fiber reinforced with resin"?

Yeah personally I see freshman on campus (26 as well but graduating now after taking a bit of time off) and yeah plenty of them are attractive but I feel conflicted about it beyond the very superficiality of that attraction. I also know they're 18 and in a completely different place in their life 18-20,21 is a much different place mentally. Doesn't even have to do with maturity. Awareness of the world, focus on the career and other things other than the excitement and newness of college. Especially for people who are studying at the college level there is a lot of growth that happens then.
