Look, if you live in any sort of city you are living within 10 miles of some horrible toxic shit no matter what. Go read "zodiac" by Stephenson. A lot of the stuff in there is true.

If you want warm houses, electricity, etc you have to live with some toxic shit nearby you. Live with it. We can't pick oil and gas up from the top of the crust forever. It just can't be done.
