Cool, thanks for the insight.

Right, but since the outside is exposed to more direct heat, it might make sense that it undergoes more chemical change than the inside of the loaf. Just wondering if there's anything beneficial that comes from this.

Modern bands using acoustic/upright bass? by TribalTribesmanin Bass

[–]barenakedone 1 point2 points ago

Jim Creeggan of Barenaked Ladies. Their best is definitely behind them, but if you can find any of the stuff from his side project with his brother, Brothers Creeggan, there's some excellent upright bass variety with plenty of charm and weird spread around.

You played at an interesting time, for the team. The team was transitioning from Yzerman, Shannahan, Federov, to Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom. And you played with them ALL! Awesome!

Steve's last season was '01-02 which was Datsyuk's rookie year and one year before Zetterberg's.

Englom just does not STFU. He talks more than the play-by-play guy, dissecting shit non-stop.

Who else is soooooooo fucking excited the Playoffs start tonight!!!!! by RyValin hockey

Is CBC really streaming all of the games? This seems too good to be true after getting totally ripped off by NHL Gamecenter Live this year.

Anyone who also plays guitar feel like they can make satisfactory progress on both simultaneously? by barenakedonein Bass

[–]barenakedone[S] 0 points1 point ago

Even though they have obvious similarities, conceptually and sonically they're totally different ...

Exactly. I'm worried they're similar enough, yet totally different to the extent that certain skills with one may be a detriment to the other. My experience so far hasn't shown that, but I just really want to be good at both. Bass is awesome. But so is guitar...

Whow! Steampunk Portal Gun! by Kapuluin gaming

[–]barenakedone 7 points8 points ago

I came here to say "Fuck steampunk" and read your take on it. I will not be so fast to judge it anymore. I'm just one of those people that hated that aesthetic novelty. It may have been some of the Star Wars related steampunk I saw that really burned my tolerance fuse. But anyways, thank you for balancing my perspective.

Hey r/hockey, can we talk for a second? by aquarium_saltin hockey

My only concern for you would be that people would downvote you based on an assumption that you were just self-promoting. It's cool that you asked for input before doing it but there are obviously going to be people who didn't see this and will make assumptions about your posts. I'm no Reddit expert, so I wonder if there's an elegant way to direct traffic to this post to show potential haters that you're trying to follow Reddiquette.

He goes for wingers on the breakout. If you've played wing before you know that can be an awkward moment.

Ha, what's the point of wearing a tie if you're not going to have it tied while on television? On the other hand, the guy gets a break for having lost his son recently and having one of the most scrutinized positions in all of hockey.

Was anyone else incredibly impressed with Brendan Smith's fight on Sunday? by LittleMinotaurin DetroitRedWings

[–]barenakedone 0 points1 point ago

THIS FIGHT WAS AWESOME! I'm so mad this was blacked out for me. I use Gamecenter Live and for some reason Indianapolis is in Chicago and St. Louis' coverage area, but not Columbus or Detroit's. Still rough to have 12 games blacked out before you include the ones I lose for national broadcasts.

Can't play strum or play chords consecutively by ididntwantausernamein guitarlessons

[–]barenakedone 1 point2 points ago

If you're taking care not to mute other strings in the chord and keep the strings from buzzing, you're doing it right. That's a great start to avoiding bad habits.

Cold air is more dense than warm air. The molecules in warm air have more energy and are therefore zipping around faster. So when you introduce the warm air into cold air, the cold air will naturally rush into the less dense space, while the warm air loses energy and slows down a little. At least that's as much of it I can remember from AP Chem, that was a while ago.

As for your realization, I'm not sure exactly what you're going for, but maybe this helps?
