Great own-goal scored in my game, today, in the 7th tier of Australian football by mulimulixin soccer

[–]badger_love 0 points1 point ago

That blows my mind. I played in a premiership team in the 8th tier (Cudal in the Orange & District B division) a decade ago. A tiny town of about 350 people and we win in the 8th tier. Amazing.

Brilliant, I'll do this. Thanks. My test has been done (thank you for covering that work) and now all I need is a spunky pair of glasses. Cheers

That looks fantastic, but, how do I know whether the frames will suit me?

Perth is beautiful. Easy public transport, great weather and the University of Western Australia right there. I'd move there tomorrow.

Where can I BBQ in London? by badger_lovein london

[–]badger_love[S] 4 points5 points ago

Thanks for a great response. I was actually just being facetious above, but your point is exactly right. I have no problems going to Peckham and spend a lot of time in Brixton. It was my first home when I arrived 11 months ago.

Thanks for the research folks. There must be a legal way out there. If not, I think I've stumbled across a business opportunity!

I used to fight dropbears when BBQ'ing back home. Bring it on!

It's complete B/S. I work at a uni and suggested we add an outdoor BBQ to the Open Day. The stink that suggestion kicked up knocked it out of the park. I'm Australian, I was basically born with a pair of bloody tongs in my hand.

I absolutely adore the fact that Aussie dominant areas are matched with Aussie Athletes - Woodies in Clapham, Perkins et al in the Shepherd's Bush area.

Is this matched up for all areas?

Going through Europe... advice? by itsgreater9000in travel

Where are you flying from? A lease-hire maybe the cheapest way to go for 55 days. You're guaranteed a buyer (French Government is the one I know) - and you get full insurance covered. Write the car off and you still get your agreed price.

Question about Travel from Bologna to Rome by ThrowMeTheRockin travel

Only the 'mini' (cheap) fares are sold out. You can take a fast train for 59 Euro. I agree, buy the tickets when you arrive. It's fast, easy and no stress about delays.

What country jails the most journalists? If you guessed China, you were close, but no cigar. 27 reporters are in prison there. If you guessed Iran, you’re getting warmer— 42 in prison there—but you’re still off. --- How many of you guessed Turkey? by DrRichardCraniumin worldnews

[–]badger_love -2 points-1 points ago

The thing is though, how is a journalist defined? I was in Turkey on holidays in December and remember reading an article that states that people register for 'press cards' to get government benefits - free bus travel and entry to football games. I wonder how many of the jailed journalists are journalists in press card alone?

P.S. Not sure how biased the paper is, just wondering.

If you are basing yourself at Vienna, Bratislava is often a better bet for cheap flights and is an hour away.

Hey r/travel, what is the best way to get from Istanbul Turkey to Greece? by tmphillyin travel

[–]badger_love 0 points1 point ago

Try plugging dates into www.skyscanner.net. You could also look at an overnight bus on one of the major lines such as Metro (I'm pretty sure that was the company name) if you need to book rapidly.

Edit: Removed reference to Pegasus Airlines. Not necessarily cheapest.

That's a beautiful piece of design right there. Just wondering how do you secure the iPad so that it doesn't get nicked. Sadly that's the Number 1 requirement from my boss.

Lockable keyboards? by badger_lovein ipad

[–]badger_love[S] 0 points1 point ago

That could work, i'd just need to find a lockable case for it and then a stand for the iPad itself. Thanks.

The Zagg Folio looks great if it can fit an iPad with a protective case.
