My idea is pretty complex right now. It'll have two types of outer fabric (front/back/pockets and bottom) - I'm thinking maybe black matte velvet and something more durable for the bottom. I'm hoping to line the inside (maybe i should do velvet on the inside instead). Not sure about the padding on the back, but I assume a thin foam will work best. And the straps will be made of a rope which will be inside the bag at the neck and bottom through eyelets (wrapping around). Otherwise, just pockets for specific things laptop, slr lenses, and other junk.

That's the bag I'm talking about. I want to make size and pocket adjustments - but that basic shape.

It's awful that so many people are unwilling to support the artists and content creators. Piracy says a lot about the character of the downloaders, the material/immaterial value they give to the content, the quality of the produced content and the modes of legal and illegal distribution. There is really a lot to say looking at the situation sociologically/economically...

But this is a legal/political issue. The internet as it is, is one big megaupload. A movie or song can just as easily stored on a website as a logo. Yes, megaupload has a reputation for illegal downloads, but they are DMCA compliant. Even if they encourage large files to be uploaded (many/most of which may be illegal), they are just storing files which the user agrees to own the rights to.

I own the rights to my photos, so I uploaded them there as a backup. The basic function of the site is no less legitimate as any site with user generated content. It's more used by corporations than dropbox (and that company is worth billions yet not generally associated with piracy)... so you really can't say that the legit is minuscule (nor can I say that it's not).

I'm with you about popular culture (including most of reddit) and instant gratification and inconsistent ethics but that's not what this is about. It's about what this company is doing (not the users), the way they are complying with requests and whether or not they are breaking the law. So i think this definitely deserves an adult conversation...

I don't like how the time is boxed in and so small on the lock screen. Music controls are too dark. Something bugs me about the dots for the home screen pages, but I'm not sure what it is. Also not a huge fan of the font.

Overall I think it's really fucking cool. It just needs to be tightened up a little bit.

I really like the figure, beautifully done. I think you're commentary is much more interesting than the placement of the words behind her head. The writing draws away from the image. If you can I'd try to incorporate what you've said in these comments and the quote on the work in a more nonformal way it'd be better. Great though..
