i just vendor my blues and yellows unless i think they will sell well on the AH. Blacksmith just isn't worth the investment early on, your money is much better spent picking upgrades from the AH.

I didn't have a main - I got 4 character to level 11. Guardian, Necro, Elementalist and Thief.

Had the most fun with the Guardian.

Next BWE will be testing out other 4 classes, ideally getting them all to 11 as well :)

Ahh gotcha. I had some issues where nothing I would type would show up in certain channels, same thing happened to friends. Relogging fixed that. Definitely seems like they have some work to do on their chat servers.

Try logging out and back in. This usually fixes chat issues I've encountered.

Nah - the only thing you would be missing out on is the feeling of 'holy shit this is brand new', and the occasional server stability.

Looking back at previous mmo launches I've been through, the only thing I really remember is server stability issues.

So yeah, don't sweat it.

Any craft that relates to metalworking could also provide a bonus. Disable Device doesn't really fit the bill here IMHO.

Don't get discouraged by the downvotes OP. Every time someone mentions this topic, the fanboys jump on it and start downvoting.

It's hard to say at this point, but initially I had the same concerns as you. I'm sure Arenanet understands that there are players like us coming from the traditional MMO mindset who are going to want that 'carrot on a stick' in some form. They have a big opportunity with this game to take a big chunk of the MMO playerbase and I'm confident they will have a carrot in some form, in order to hang on to us.

I'm also anticipating GW2 to have more frequent xpacs or possibly smaller paid content releases compared to other MMO's, which will help keep us entertained.
