If money is an issue you can try American community colleges.There purpose is to gain the credits for a degree at a much cheaper price.

You should stay in one city for about a week or so .Then you can really get the feel for the city. I do not recommend this whirl-wind travel experience by staying in a city for a day or two. You really want to get a feel for the city, its people and culture.

There are many factors involved: what language(s) you speak,your work experience, how much money you are willing to spend moving.......Such factors need to be taken into account.

I have used it for research as well but have never actually read literature on google books.I see that most books on there are not complete.
