I buy organic milk, organic eggs, get my vegetables from the farmer's market, and only buy hormone-free meat, and yet I still can't give up the occasional bag of Combos. Also Pop Tarts. Damn.

If you do this, freeze the dough after cutting it and THEN bake. Otherwise the cookies will spread too much to be recognizable as Tetris pieces.

For people who live here, yeah, too busy :) Although I think it's still really a novelty thing. I don't know anyone whose used it, and I do my own shopping -- hardly ever get food delivered. Why get delivery when you can pick it up a block away in half the time?

Eh, not all pre-made food is heavily processed. My personal opinion is that homemade spaghetti is really not as good as what you can buy, but I'd have a hard time saying that about most food products (I make everything else that I can from scratch). Homemade ravioli, though...

People also forget that Bill Murray was accused of abusing his ex-wife (though the claims were weren't to the level of Sheen's).

I actually heard the green onion thing here on r/Frugal about two years ago and I've been doing it ever since. I find that my plants die after a while, but it's still nice to have a pot of them on the window sill (and they're easy to replace).

What do I do with chipotle chillies? by bass-basein Cooking

Chipotle peppers (canned in adobo) are usually easier to find than a dried version, and easier to use as well. If you find can, throw a couple with sauce into a chili -- delicious. If dried, toast them for ~30 seconds per side in hot oil, then cover with hot water and let soak for about 20 minutes. Then puree and strain through a fine sieve. You can use the resulting sauce as a marinade or in chili, again.

Yes, I second the spaghetti and meatballs.

Actually in Manhattan you can get literally anything delivered. There are services that will pick up anything you want and do your shopping for you.

OK, I really don't get this. Why is the search function not working any more? Why isn't reddit telling me that this has been posted 5+ times before in the same subreddit? Forget the fact that most of the times didn't get voted up... I don't resubmit when it's been posted before.

A lot of local papers are still free, sure. But I see your point about advertisers.
