Former CPS worker here, and by no means take my experience as accurate for your state, if you check into it you may qualify for being a state dependent. If that is the case, the state will also pay for your college, in case that's an interest for you. If you don't have a copy of your medical card stuff you can get that from the Human Services, DFC, DHHR, or whatever your state calls it. They'll also be able to tell you what you qualify for and everything. You may have to file for emancipation, but at least they can give you options.

I had a high pallet combined with enlarged adenoids. The short story is that for the first ten years of my life I couldn't breath through my nose much at all. Now I can breath fine through my nose but find that when exercising it still doesn't provide me enough air to keep me from passing out. When I use my nose, it's in conjunction with breathing through my mouth.

So my question is, could not using my nasal passages as a child have stunted them somehow so that I'm not able to pull enough air in through my nose? Or is this normal and I've just never heard anyone else talking about. I've always been told to breathe through my nose, but this just isn't feasible for me.
