Try this, to reset your perspective camera settings...

in the perspective viewport click on View>Predefined Bookmarks>Perspective.

yea, its definitely a perspective camera setting.

Your focal length is pretty huge. I recommend setting it to 35

also dial up your Angle of View to around 56

you might need to tweak it a bit... my usual sweet spot on the Near Clip Plane is 0.123

Try adjusting your cameras clipping plane.

View>select camera..

then in your attribute editor (ctrl+A)...

set Near Clip Plane to 0.1

and Far Clip Plane to 10000

To my surprise, I received my pi late last week. (i'm in Texas) Now im just waiting on my brand name SD card to arrive from Amazon. I was one of the guys hitting f5 over and over only to express an interest at zero hour. Took me 3 hours just to fill out a form. Go ahead and "express an interest" with RS or Element for one. The sooner you register, the sooner you will get one. They are in full production now. I got mine from RS components and they were quick to ship it. It arrived 3 or 4 days after they said it was ready. If anyone sells them in the states it will be a reseller, and probably at a much higher price.

I second this. Maya has a steep learning curve, but once you get over learning the User Interface, it levels out pretty quickly.

It you need better geometry, you could always convert to polygons, make it Live, and then lay down some better optimized polys.
