My girlfriend-now-wife started taking it to prevent pregnancy after we talked about it, but the additional hormone control effects have been hugely beneficial as well. I guess we're lucky either where we live or just with the pharmacist because we walk in every month, pay $10 for it, and leave without an unkind word spoken.

I went to go pick my my girlfriend (now my wife) from her parent's place during winter break. She spent half of it there and half it with me. They made lunch and during it her mom said "Thank you for talking our daughter away." This is the same mom who asked my girlfriend to move my car. She didn't have a license at the time.
