Ha, sounds like his friend had a better mindset for it, the most important thing about tripping IMO. I never had a bad trip, once I went to the beach and I was sitting in the dunes looking over at the cliffs, lit by the setting Sun. I realized that I was incredibly small on an alien world, the cliffs were like gargantuan hairy spider corpses of an ancient time, long forgotten, buried by the sands of time. The sea became like a mirage in the heat of the desert. I am terrified of spiders, but I felt such a lucky guy to be there and loved it. I will never, ever forget that trip... /chokes-up-a-bit
