Do you have anxiety or... by UncleJojoin AdviceAnimals

Way to be original. Do you always copy people or just go full-on stereo type. My use of the word depression rather than sadness is just as bad as your use of the word retard. You are no better...

Polio (incurable disease)...However, has a vaccine and not even close to the 'same thing'. You can't catch depression. Depression is a mental disorder, not a disease. (point taken though)

I understand your resentment and accept that.

Grand assumptions...

Do you know what's its like to be friendly one second, then hopeless the next? Yes

Do you know what its like to have one word make you delve deep into your mind and release bad feelings? All the time...it is terrible!

Faking emotions...on the reg

I have these things and "Suck it up". I have faced these issue time and time again. But, have developed strategies to not repeat my mistakes in the past. I do not want to go back to that chaos.

The "Suck it up" approach will not work for everyone!

You may think these comments are negative. They are...they are incredibly insensitive...but they are straight forward.

Do I think your life is easy, no.

The great part for you is you are at least aware of what your body is doing. The key is when you feel that way or you consciously see it happening. Change it. The feeling might not completely go away but you can suppress the feelings through different releases. Talking, sports, music, etc..find something specific for you that puts your mind at rest. Try to regain self-control.

Depression will not go away. Unless you physically fix the specific imbalance in the brain...easier said than done. However, you can suppress the symptoms.

Take things one step at a time. Address your "little issues" first rather than letting them fester...they add up quick. Then address the major issues. Break the large issues down into their simpler parts and take things from there. (A lot to do in so few words)

Whether you live a happy life or a miserable life is completely up to you...with or without depression.

Also, does your family know? If they do I am sure they are supportive of you and if they don't they most likely would be. Not true in some cases but usually a cry for help is answered.

Here is some wisdom for you...you know nothing about me.

Having depression or and disability is a weakness. With that said instead of feeling sorry for the person and focusing on what the person can't do and defending them because they can't do something. Focus on what they can do.

People, strive to be more...strive to be better everyday and deal with their problems. Many people don't.

Being weak because someone else says, "Oh, you have a disability, you have a disadvantage." Stop thinking that way! "Suck it up" take control of your life. If you can't do it yourself, you will need help. (help is not a bad thing)

Everyone struggles in life.

Honest and insensitive truth...

Each person has to deal with the cards that they have been given. Mentally or physically if they can not face the challenges ahead of them they ultimately will either need help (including helping themselves) or their fate will be served.

Impossible is a lie. I know all about clinical depression. I can relate to how they feel. I know exactly what it is like. "Sucking it up" is the first step to making things better for yourself. If you do not have this self realization you can not move forward. Your life will lead to moping around and having circular feelings (I am sad because I am tired...I am tired because I am sad). These feeling feed off each other...they drive depression further.

Snap out of it!

You are doing yourself a disservice. Depression is an internal issue caused by both internal and external factors. Because it is an internal issue "you" are the only one that can make it better.

Suck it up, take a pill, or seek some help are some options you can take. Different solutions work for different people.

First step for everyone...suck it up....you have depression...now help yourself fix the issue. (It might never go away completely but you can at least do something about it)

Thank you...perfect example. Absolutely I would. I am saying that from experience. Broken hand...broken foot...can not let that be an excuse for quitting. Ha...I broke my 4th metacarpal and my wrist and was still playing sports and "sucking it up". People get hurt...that's life.

Seriously ya gotta suck it up...crying about is not going to help you. Not making fun of your article...actually quite entertaining. But seriously, who is going to help people with depression if they can't face up and deal with the issues on their own. Or they can seek out help, that's cool too.

Being a little bitch is not going to help.
