But then you get bites which are only PB or only J with only a few being both! I like a good 40% PB and 60% J with each bite...

First Time Working With Pleather... Any Advice? by theredheadbrennain sewing

[–]TreeBeards 1 point2 points ago

I've never had a problem with it on my regular sewing machine. If you are going to be using really stiff or thick leather I might suggest using a heavy duty needle, but I have been able to sew two or three pieces of medium thickness suede together without any problem! A leather dress would be awesome! You should definitely post it to r/sewing when your done :)

First Time Working With Pleather... Any Advice? by theredheadbrennain sewing

My only advice it to use real leather! It is so much more rewarding. I make a lot of leather and suede utility belts and accessories and working with the real thing is just fantastic, no need for hems!! A sewers dream ;) I buy my leather in bulk from ebay or amazon. A lot of tanneries or leather distributers sell their scrap leather that they would normally just throw away for pretty cheap! You gotta search around a bit, but I have found several shipments of large miscellaneous pieces for about 40-60 bucks. A steal if you think about how much a full hide can cost.

Yes! It's my favorite mug, I refuse to drink my tea out of anything else ;) I am sewing a sort of hip belt with pockets. A bit hard to explain, but think of it as a glorified hippy fanny pack haha

I couldn't agree more! Sewing is the best therapy :) I can genuinely say without a shadow of a doubt that sewing has changed my life for the better!

I love my machine!! I havn't really had any problems yet. Of course, the occasional mishap will happen like my thread gets caught or breaks, but its usually due to my own errors haha. I would definitely recommend it!

Such a stud, might I suggest that your dog and my dog should go on a date and make some stunning, glossy coated pups?
