I think ideally Twitch would be able to just not pay him for any ad revenue he generates. Since he's streaming, people might at least be able to stream-snipe him and even the playing field.

It's probably easier to ban him than not pay him though, from a legal standpoint.

Word came down that we needed to ditch 3 people for funding reasons. Within a handful of months, those people were civilians again. That's all I know from my end.

When it comes to a job that anybody can be trained to do with a couple months of prep time and a few more on the job training, it ends up being cheaper to take on new people than hold on to others. New people start at the bottom of the ranks and have lower pay.

That being said, there have been a few linguists let go in the middle of training because of cutbacks and them not being needed.

The unemployed are busy people, and my smartphone means I don't need to carry a laptop around. If you're not bringing me in on time, you bet your ass I'm not wasting my time sitting there. Usually I try to smooze with nearby employees, especially if there's a front desk, but I always thought it was a good sign that I do not waste time staring at the ceiling.

The only reason it wouldn't be cheaper is because newbies stay in longer, and they start at a lower rank, so their pay is lower.

There may be some political favoritism at play for being infantry or a pilot, but it has more to do with those being the fields where people are most likely to stay in the military for the many years it takes to become a general.

Take medical officers for instance, there are so many incentives to move into the civilian field that many of them don't stay to become a full bird, let alone Generals. The other job fields have similar incentives at play. People who work in intel may move on to other areas of the DoD, and have quite a bit of power and influence comparable to that of a General.

I say if you want to go for General, go for it. There's no MOS requirement, so don't let it affect your choices where it doesn't count.

I'm in Monty for tech school right now. I don't get recognition as often as say, Texas, but I kind of prefer being left alone more often than not. I've never had an incident or anything.
