If it is advanced life that we find, hopefully by the time we find it religion will be gone. Yet, if it isn't; I'm sure this new planet may have types of religion there as well. And they will all be mutually inconsistent. We'll have to admit religion is made up. At least I hope so.

Whenever you realize it's a dream, you need to do something to keep you in there. I would suggest ALWAYS having a goal in mind, the second you realize you're in a dream start spinning. Like a freaking ballerina. Flail your arms out and think of something you want to do, then do it. When you spin it stimulates you enough to keep you lucid. I have heard that this works; so it's at least worth a shot. I would also suggest doing reality checks when waking up as Barneey said.

Thank you for this man; Recently one of my good friends was in a car accident, he was the driver of a car and some kids were outside of the car, car surfing. A couple of the kids ended up dying; and I know he was insanely depressed. Don't ever do something that stupid, it's not worth anyone else's life; or yours.

My mom's friend is dating Charlie Hunn AKA Current lead singer of Foghat (Band who plays "Slow Ride"). I see him at most parties we go to and have got to jam with him on the guitar; he's a pretty cool dude.

They met at one of his concerts; he spotted her out from the crowd and invited her backstage; been dating ever since.
She gets to go to all of the premiers/concerts she wants to go to.

Although; he doesn't treat her too well, no physical abuse or anything like that. He just doesn't help her with the bills, lives in her house for free. Although he has a secret love of landscaping and their yard is freaking amazing. Any questions about them that you have I might be able to answer.

Just keep using logic, reason, and evidence based arguments. They can TRY to convert you all they want; but they won't be successful. I'm in a similar situation as you and have learned quite a lot from the books I've read. First, let her know that she should boycott using Windows computers, because Bill Gates is an atheist. Just as bad as a lesbian right? Since to the Christian god, all sins are the same. Oh, And also tell her that she won't find hope in using a mac either, because Steve Jobs was also an atheist. And she won't have any hope with linux either. Actually, it's a sin to share the same Space-Time continuum with someone that does things that are against your religious beliefs, so it looks like your screwed either way!
