Don't worry, I think it's a good discussion to have... I think it comes down to who would be responsible for all of these checks. Athletic commissions aren't big money makers, so they don't have the resources to do this. Maybe nevada and Cali but others likely do not. Commissions have attempted measures like second weigh ins the day of the fight where the fighters had to be within a certain % of their official weigh in.

My opinion on the matter is that the current procedure allows all fighters to gain the same advantage if they wish to cut lots of weight to have a strength advantage or just a few pounds and feel fresh. Edgar vs Henderson is a great example of this.... The bigger issue to me is the use of things like TRT, that's a way bigger game changer than a good diet and a sauna suit.
