Was wondering if anyone would do that.

Editorial: Punitive ban on smoking at DIA by d10g3n3sin Denver

[–]TK44 2 points3 points ago

As a frequent flier and smoker as well I also dislike this new plan. The best place I have ever been was the Schiphol airport- They had a very nice separation of smoking areas and non smoking areas past security- and the little smokers rooms were heavily ventilated so that even smelling like smoke was minimized.

Damn... I can almost see the tire.... I really wonder what kind they are. I can't tell if it's lifted or not, might be though. Also, someone should tell this guy that some lady is messing up his hood, or that lady should stop messing up her hood.. Can't see the whole hood either..pfft.

I need some help, I found this car and want your guy's opinions, Is the asking price good or it it overpriced? Do any of you have experience with this Jeep? by Microsofttin Jeep

As a Denver resident the first thing I did was check the location- hello neighbor!

I think this is a good deal. I picked up an 06 TJ with the 4cycl in San Jose a few years back- bone stock, really really low miles- for around 14K... If I would have seen this I would have jumped on it.

I would just make sure it hasn't been offroaded too hard

Best decision ever! I lost my rear axleshaft and it destroyed the entire housing on the way out.. Being a poor college kid at the time I couldn't afford the repair, and had to sell her.

Yeah, dog poop. Also, it is just so pristine.. I know my lab would want to go for a swim in that.

I thought you were saying it was not worth it. Ha. It's just that initial $1K+ that you have to spend and then the "oh honey.. yeah, it comes as bear metal so I have to powdercoat it as well"... tricky tricky tricky.

Also.. I like Kevins Offroad ones the best currently...

I forget.. whats the distance of the hike? Also, you wouldn't happen to know if dogs are allowed would you? Hate to leave the pup in the car, but can see why they would want to keep dogs away.

The suspension setup on mine is pretty noisy over bumps.. I'm wondering if maybe something like "Clunks" is appropriate for it. I once almost bought an 21' sailboat when I lived in SF- upon closer inspection the boat was already named- and not being superstitious or anything but I hesitated when I found the boat was named "Sinking Feeling"... yikes.

You should totally post a video of the Beast roaring to life!

Yeah... here too. Just did a trip from Denver to Moab with a little wheeling in between... I averaged 13.7 mpg on the whole trip which was mostly highway. When I take the spare off the roof and put it inside I get around 14-15. Next purchase: new rear bumper with tire carrier (wife has approved!).

Admittedly, I do enjoy my ponies a bit too much sometimes and have never experienced a trip out to Moab where I could average around 83mph the whole way (former Moab Jeep was an 84' CJ-7 that would not go over 65!). Also, on some of the sand and dirt roads in and around Moab I had a blast giving it a little more gas than necessary to induce some drifting.. also never had that luxury.

[Edit] Not sure about the 5.2s or the 5.9s but the 4.7HO 'requires' 91 octane... It says in the manual that you can run lower than that and expect nothing except a little engine noise- which has proven to be the case until she warms up. I run 87/88, but never 85 as a happy medium.

I used to do Hotel AV. One time when I was running camera for a VERY graphic medical conference (lots of awesome surgery videos) at 6am with a slight hangover. The producer of the show was connected to all of the tech staff via headset. He left his mic open and so while watching these very disturbing videos he decides that he will have his breakfast. We had to listen to those sounds while watching the videos- non of us felt very well afterwards.

Fast forward to a year or two down the road and I have much more experience- and am technical director for the shows coming in- I took no shame in telling a client to cut their mic off.. ever. (Also, I discovered that if I had the main controller box for it I could hit a 'kill mic' button that not only killed the mic but gave them a nice unpleasant 'pop' in their ears. WIN

I was actually checking out at the market the other day in the 'express lane' (15 items or less) when a woman comes up behind us with a whole cart full of stuff- much respect to the cashier as he stopped and looked at her and her cart and said "Ma'am, this is the express checkout, 15 items or less, you need to go to another register" (she was upset but followed instructions well). He then looks at me and goes "Geez, some people.. did you see how many things she had?!"
