Hello, I would have added this as text, but i wanted the post as a link so people see pictures first. Also i'm from the UK.

The problem i'm having is that i'm unsure how to fix the shelves to the wall and achieve the floating effect. This is due to only one wall being masonry and the others being stud partition walls.

Ned some advice on good solid fixings to the timber stud behind the plaster and any tips or ideas on how to achieve the floating effect.

I was thinking some thick brackets at each stud might do the trick if properly secured.

Will be using Sepele or Shorea hardwood 230mm x 80mm.

Links for the Sketchup designs if anyone whats to have a closer look.
