Messaging after a long absence? by thebatsamin askseddit

From Rob Judge:

[texting her] "Wow, [name], was just scrolling through my phone and realized it's tragic we never [met up / lost touch]. What are you doing later?"

I'd personally lose the "what are you doing later?" and maybe go with something like "we should fix that" or simply "how's everything?". I don't know. But you get the point.

Short, simple and to the point without sounding needy or desperate.

I also realize you're on facebook and this is texting so it's slightly different, but tweak it to your situation and you're set.

Im going to move to NJ shortly, What places in NJ can you recommend me to live in? by mylifestyleprin newjersey

[–]SoBoredAtWork 4 points5 points ago

Hoboken will be expensive, but the commute to the city is so simple and takes maybe 15 mins. Other, cheaper options are Jersey City or even Union City. UC is MUCH cheaper but a little more shady. Safe, but not extremely nice. It is right outside of Hoboken, so a $5 cab ride gets you into Hoboken for a night out. If you look at Union City, check for places around this area. A small path train makes commuting in/out of Hoboken and the city REALLY simple and cheap.

I thought that too at first, but it's actually not as dangerous as it may seem. source

I asked this in r/Seduction, but was told to ask it here: Asking a girl for her number on the last day of class... Help? by Di_Fuoco18in askseddit

Let me see your phone." Call yourself from her phone. "Now you have my number. I'll call you sometime soon."

That's fucking brilliant.

I like, "you're pretty cool. let me take your number. [hand her your phone]" move. But that's even better.

Does anyone see the brilliance in this? This is marketing at its finest. Bravo to the sick masterminds that think this shit up. Also, fuck them.

I change my brother's to 'interested in men' a while back and forgot about it. We realized it was still like that 6 months later when a family member asked my bro why he wasn't comfortable telling them that he likes dudes.

The best is when you get two at once and put them in a relationship with each other.

Hahhahah. Love it!

This doesn't really sound like a life improvement. What happened to being humble and admitting when you're wrong. I think it's important to be able to do that.

Parents of reddit, were there ever times where you were legitimately worried your offspring might be too dumb to survive? by superdagoin AskReddit

I'm feeling wild today and went with bold, italics and CAPS. I'm a little nervous about it; I hope that's not too overboard.

NOT A PARENT, BUT WHEN MY SISTER WAS 12-ISH SHE WAS ON A SOCCER TEAM, AND AT ONE OF HER GAMES THE BALL WAS RIGHT THERE FOR HER TO KICK, AND SHE WAS SO EXCITED THAT SHE TRIED TO KICK IT WITH BOTH FEET. AT THE SAME TIME.

doesn't mean I want it freely available to anyone

But by putting it on Facebook, people should know that it's now essentially available to anyone.

However, I agree that we should have our rights to privacy and it's a shame that they're trying to take that from us. It sucks a lot and I'm completely against it.

That being said, I don't have any expectation of privacy on Facebook.

So that's why? by aerogp1in funny

I feel the same. I don't support these bills in any way and think that they're absurd and an abuse of their power. However, I don't post anything online that I wouldn't willingly expose anyway. I don't see what the big deal is if you have nothing to hide.
